I didn’t mean you in particular in terms of defending Berry and this season certainly isn’t enough to part ways with him. The trend however. barring a miracle run to the NCHC championship, has definitely not been upward.
North Dakota has 1 NCAA tournament win since 2016 against someplace called American International College. 1 post-season win. Now ask yourself, would Dean Blais or Dave Hakstol have survived that statistic? I doubt it.
Probably the best comment I’ve read on this board in a very long time.

Our team D has been a lot better too though. What did his numbers look like Friday night?
DeRidder handled 5 less shots than the Omaha goalie.

And for just the 2nd time in 24 years UND will not be hosting the first round in the playoffs. Hopefully that doesn't sit well with the coaches and the boys and gets them fired up to redeem themselves for that rather embarrassing stat.

So it's already been determined?
If Omaha wins and Clowns lose we get Clowns.

Yes he did, but I didn't see any hits, which was the main topic of the post.
It was…until you said all we see is him flipping the puck out of the D zone.

So it’s on to Omaha with a win tonight.

No, no we don't. He might play in four more games but we won't get to see any crushing hits. When was the last time he hit anybody? All we see is him flipping the puck out of the D zone. Although if the right opportunity arises, like the season is about to end, maybe we will.
Um, he got us a nice shootout point last Saturday. Laser.

Kleven also suffers from his height in this league. More of his hits come in high, especially on the smaller and heads down players. That never gets taken into consideration, of course.

Is it Dane Jackson time?

I'm more concerned about the NCAA regional. Tired of being in the Region of Death.
Moot point if we don’t win the nchc tournament title.

Looks like a sweep at home against Omaha would put us back in Omaha for Round 1. God willing.

Does not meet the %gobc/gfhockey high first round draft pick criteria. Sorry. Thanks for playing.
Blake combines his puck-handling and playmaking to great effect. In-tight, he adjusts his puck positioning to hook and slip passes through pressure, and dekes through defenders without entering a glide. He pre-scans before every touch, then creativity connects with teammates through defenders, leads them into space with area passes, and works give-and-goes. He’s an elite.

Both his goals…just a warm blooded body had to be there. 1. Great pass by Hain 2. Blake
Gaber has an accurate shot but those two setups were superb. Blake definitely #1 star last night.
-
Did anyone else notice that after Gaber's OT winner Blake skated away from the celebration? Maybe too much praise heaped on Gaber when Blake did all the work.

Yep... 2/3
So that explains why no movement in the Pairwise this morning. Still #22 with 5% chance of making the national.

No it is not anymore once they went to the 3 on 3 OT fornat it is counted less.
Bummer
-
I know this is a 2-pointer for the NCHC standings, but isn’t this counted as a full win in the Pairwise?
-
5% chance of making the nationals isn’t giving me warm fuzzies. It’ll take running out the last six games to get there. Winning the Conferece tournament has even more formidable odds. Yeah it’s time to be talking 2023-24 alright.

You take any and all of those high drafted players that you can, even if it’s only for a season or two (or three if you’re lucky).
That's not what I asked.

That Farmer hit was clearly 2-minute minor. The hit was at angle to the boards not headfirst. The Omaha player glanced off the boards harmlessly.
