The new rule doesn't favor goalie's at all. In the past, that would have been a defenseman's job to clear that guy out. If they do that now, they're called for a penalty. If Parise does something to the defenseman he gets called. I remember Andy Kollar just racking guys in the groin with his stick to clear them out of the crease, or in his view. Won't see that anymore.l

Yet, Woog and Mazacco complained about the Sioux getting away with things in that period. Add another thing to a constant in the universe, their inability to see things the other way.

As much as I hate it, that was a valid goal. Parise distracted himself more than anything, and left the shortside of the net open, which is where the puck went.

He brushed Parise, but the rules have changed this year where it's pretty much gotta be blatant interference. It really didn't obstruct him from making the save (or not making the save in this case).
