Last night wasn't much better, but we at least got a goal. Last year's Saturday night game was terrible, or at least what I remember of it. I know I started drinking heavily after the 2nd period. I may do the same tonight

Anyone remember the last time a gopher made it to the ice during a Sioux/Gopher game? That was a tradition that should have never stopped.

I think that's hard to answer. Defensemen can do so little this year compared to what they've been able to do in the past, without being called for penalties. They can't play the body like they've been able to do in the past. With that being said, we've lost a lot on defense in the past year.

Gophers 2-7-1 in the last 10 Saturday night games at the Ralph. Unfortunately, last years Saturday night game was one of the worst performances of they year by the Sioux. Let's go back to making the Gophers hate Saturday night.

I thought last night was one of Smaby's worst performances of the year (at least where he played the full game). I'm glad he realizes they need to turn it up.

At least last night I could watch CSTV. Tonight I'm stuck with Mazacco and Woog.

Anyone know if Matt Greene is in Edmonton's lineup tonight? I turned the game on, but it's intermission, and don't think intermission will be over before the beginning of the Sioux game. I know he didn't dress on Thursday night, so I'm hoping they give him a chance tonight. He could check Blaker!

I agree with Hak. When the Sioux did play the body, they were very effective, and it lead to some great chances. However, it didn't happen throughout the entire game. The 2nd period was pretty good as far as playing the body when they were full strength.
