In 2000, the Sioux won their semi-final game on my b-day, before winning the title two days later. In 2006, the Sioux play their semi-final game on my b-day, and I'm hoping they're winning two days later!

They've got 10 freshman on their team too, so it will be the battle of the freshman. I just wonder if Brian Gionta and Zach Parise will have a wager between the two of them, as they're both alum of the two schools playing, and they both have brothers still playing for their respective former teams.

IMHO, I would say Erik Fabian. He really started to come on strong at the end of last year, but picked up this year where he left off, and continued to improve as a player every weekend. He really solidified himself as a leader on this team this year, and we'll definitely be lucky to have him back next year.

Robbie's all cramped up again this weekend. Weak!

St. Lawrence/BU game last 123:53, so they have a period to play yet before they catch the record.

I had to spend about 4 hours at work this afternoon. Good thing I didn't rush home to catch the beginning of this game!

I'm sure it's only the fans who may be overlooking us. Jerry York is smart enough to know that every team in the Frozen Four will be a tough team, and are obviously there because they're playing their best hockey of the year. It should be a great game, and Hak will have the boys ready to play. Go Sioux!

Prpich said in the post game that they're a lot tougher team than what people give them credit for. How can you argue with it. They beat Minnesota and played us tough. Yeah, they had some ugly scores earlier in the year, but they were playing their best hockey when it counted the most. However, I do agree that we weren't the same team tonight that we were last night. Don't know if that's because of Holy Cross, or because of some other reason. Last night, we simply looked like the best in the nation.

Congrats to Jonathan Toews on earning MOP of the tournament. The WCHA committee who selected the WCHA All-Rookie team are most likely saying to themselves, "Boy, are we a bunch of dumb a$$es!"

He probably hasn't thought that he'll be the answer to a college hockey trivia question. Props to Holy Cross on playing a great weekend of hockey. They definitely have nothing to feel bad about. They beat Minnesota, and hung in the game with the Sioux for more than 2 periods.

Ken Daneyko just had his jersey retired after a 20 year career. In those 20 years, his point total, including playoffs was: 41 159 200. Obviously, you don't have to be a goal scorer to succeed at the next level. Daneyko was a defensive defenseman. With that being said, I really think both Carle and Potulny deserve the award. Both have had great years. Hard to compare players statistically when one is a forward and the other is a defensman. I'm sure they'd both rather be playing in the FF, which the Sioux are doing!

Prpich post game comments. Sweet feeling right now. Pretty soon, it will sink in that we're going back to the FF. Not too hard to focus on this game. They're a better team than most people give them credit for. We do our part, and the freshman put the puck in the net. Some of the things Oshie, Duncan, and Toews do with the puck is amazing. Crowd was great this weekend. Fed off their energy.

Sparky post game comments: Nice to get back to FF. Little disappointment after last year, but now we get another chance. It's been a fun year. We're winning and we're having fun. Holy Cross was tough. Played with heart. They surprised many people. They're a good team.
