  1. GO SIOUX!!!!!!!!!!!! 4-2, SIOUX!!!
  2. You bored at work today or what?
  3. Actually, I'm pretty sure it was. It defintely wasn't as good looking at Toews as it was a jam in on the side of the net.
  4. Zach Parise also.
  5. Here's Toews First Goal.
  6. Thanks PCM. Makes me look forward to this weekend even more!!!
  7. Toews with another penalty! He's making his mark in his first game! EDIT: He's thinking, 'They always let us do that in the WCHA!' Sharks tie it on the PP on Toews penalty.
  8. Here's Toews First Goal.
  9. Now Jonny gets his first penalty!
  10. TOEWS SCORES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. Hey! We don't all have the fighting skills! Gretzky had his enforcers too! All I'm saying is that SSF made me look good on the ice!
  12. Too bad they didn't have video cameras back then. You could have had someone tape your highlights!
  13. He only went to a Tech School (Well, it was a photography school, not really a Tech School)! Does that count against him? Wait, I played against him all my life, he's got no game!!!
  14. Nor does Bina understand why Lamoureux would go back to his full given name.
  15. USHL and high school, but not a high grade of high school. I grew up there, so I know exactly what they have there!
  16. Yeah, after I posted, I thought about Cornell too. They should be around #8-#10.
  17. Wow! Minny #8 and Miami #3? Yes, the Gophs have lost some defensemen and a goalie, but I still think they'll fare better than that. No disrespect to Miami's program, as they've been fairly consistent the past few years, but I still don't see them as seeing a Frozen Four participant.
  18. Not sure if I'm excited about that line combination yet or not. I guess Savard just wants to see how they'll play together against veteran players, which I must admit I'm curious about as well. Regardless, it will be a great game to watch to see how they use Jonny throughout the night. I'm expecting him to get some PP time as well. Imagine driving through Chicago at 19 years old and seeing a picture of yourself on a billboard with the caption, "The Future of the Blackhawks." Hopefully, Toews won't put any added pressure on himself and just go out and play his game the way he knows how. If I remember correctly, Hak had to talk to him last year to remind him to just go out there and have fun, and not worry about being the saving grace of Fighting Sioux hockey. Hopefully that lesson sticks with him throughout this year too.
  19. Not sure if this was posted already, but you can relive the greatness of Greg Johnson's days at UND at FightingSioux.com. They have posted free media Johnson's Hobey Baker Video, which shows some great footage, and has some great comments about him.
  20. I believe Sicatoka did place the disclaimer "random predicitons" in his post, meaning that's what his post was. You obviously have had the opportunity to fully evaluate both Marto and Lapoint to a greater depth than anyone else on this board. I'm not saying Lapoint is better than Marto, or vice-versa. However, Lapoint has excelled at every level he's played at thus far, and brings valuable assets to the team. I'll trust Hak and the decisions that he makes for gameday.
  21. Great article on Toews' debut tonight. Toews Debut
  22. February 15, 1998....Sioux/Gophers game, Sioux only allowed 1 shot in the 3rd period. Not 0 shots, but we weren't playing Windsor either! FYI: That first shot came within the first 20 seconds of the period too.
  23. Zach with a goal and an assist in today's game. Typical hardworking goal, where he never gave up, and ended up hitting one out of the air into the net. Zach ended up being put around on a few different lines today. He was playing at a different level compared to his teammates.
  24. He definitely had his chances. I remember two of them in the same shift, back to back. He'll be fine on the line, or wherevere else Hak decides to put him. Also, how easy can it be to look as good as your two linemates when they're names are Duncan and Oshie?
