Sather is a good guy. We just have bad luck. The portal is mean to us. Our budget sucks. Grand forks gets cold in the winter . It's fun to lose as long as we play hard and represent the good old green and white . (Ira this is sarcasm) I think that about covers it for the minions

Of course the guy who posted the comment about Chaves home number was “kidding”. Easy to say that but there was no indication he was kidding.Also when these passionate fans that are on here that care about the team stop caring you will see a drop in attendance. You will be left with gray hairs that will come to games and be happy and zero wins a season. But season ticket holders like myself who I guess can have no opinion will not be renewing next year unless there is changes. Ira are you a season ticket holder??

If you and your pals want coaching changes make it happen. My point was that a poll serves no purpose, but if you and your pals feel better have at it.If I had that much control I certainly would. The poll was done in fun to see how the forum would like to see the coaching situation play out. No one thinks that it is going to affect how the A.D. handles the situation. Also when someone posted earlier that we should call the A.D. home phone you jumped right in how that is not a good idea when clearly the person making the comment was joking. Hence why you = KAREN

I would say that if we weren't the biggest fans we wouldn't care that our team is consistently in last place. Fans are the ones that want the best for our team and school. I understand some people are satisfied with mediocrity and losing. But as a big fan we only want to see the team succeed. How can someone say the team is going in the right direction with 2 years of being in last place? If I was a car salesman and wasn't selling cars how long would I have my job? Two years? If a coach is hired to win games and doesnt win games how long do you wait?

If we are limited on money I say take a chance on a up and coming coach that's willing to take our money. Either it works out and they leave in a few years or it doesn't and we look for another . If that's all und is willing to put into its basketball program. I hope we cough up some more money and get a winner

Yeah it's all bad luck why we lose all the time . And because of our budget, and we live in grand forks and the portal... maybe there is another reason why we lose all the time . Our luck will change when we get a new coach !

The thought was that we did that. The hire was lauded by pretty much everyone. It clearly hasn't turned out the way anyone had hoped.
I never thought that from the beginning. But our top 3 candidates that they announced none of them were impressive. I especially didnt like hiring a middle aged guy from a division 2 school that historically always is on top.

Exactly! Sprinkle in a danielson, levias, brooks and mathews to give a breather. But dumping 5 bench players that should be playing division 2 ball together doesnt work!

How about we just hire a good coach that knows what he is doing and knows how to recruit. We eliminate all the rest of those hires.

Couldnt agree more! I have been saying this all season. The hockey line switch isnt working! We dont have good enough players to do this! Also to many times we have three players that are no threat to shoot on offense. Why play them together! ?? I would like to see Norman And Eaglestaff on the floor at the same time.

NDSU up 24 on Denver now. No way we win at Denver after they lose like that. Their coach won't let that happen... our coach will be our coach and not have a game plan

How many guys on our roster had 0 other D1 offers or even D1 interest before coming here??
Other then Bj and matthews I don't know any that had other D1 offers. And I think matthews and Bjs were taken away from them why we ended up getting them.

Although I will say that the highlights I have watched of her, looks like a senior playing against grade school kids.... girls basketball must not be very good in that part of Canada. She will definitely be challenged at this level, I hope she can make the adjustments. If she can she is going to be a good player for us.

No doubt that it is incredibly frustrating but this isn't how he handled line-ups in the past.I agree that this year seems more frustrating finding those right bench players, but i think we can mostly agree who our starting 5 is. Some of them need to be in when he brings in bench players. Mass subbing and having all subs on the floor at the same time hasn't been working

That's exactly what a good coach does. Calls a timeout when another team is on a run. The fact that you called them a magical timeout just takes credibility away from you. But I have seen Coach Sather do this many times in the past two years. We blow large leads and just throw our hands up in the air. Also the hockey line up changes needs to go! Stick with 7 or 8 and our starters need to play mass minutes. We should always have 3 or 4 starters on the court at all times.

Here we go again with weather and location as reasons why we suck. We have had good teams in the past that won championships and found players. We act like Vermillion South Dakota is a destination place or McComb Illinois is a hot spot. Yet all these teams are better then we are. Grand Forks has way more to offer then Vermillion or McComb. Players dont go there because of good shopping. Other sports teams can recruit players to come to Grand Forks and the basketball team has too in the past. We just need excuses now why our team and coach are terrible. I dont care if its a Power 5 drop down or a stud JUCO player. Just get some talent and athleticism to our team. i dont believe we will get that until we get a new coach in place.
