I agree with the premise that we have a lack of height and strength in the center and forward positions. Unfortunately, with 355 Division 1 schools there are only so many big bodies out there. Especially with our location. Not much available in ND, northern Minnesota, and Canada. Hard to get anyone from South Dakota with the SD schools. Same with Nebraska, the SD schools have the advantage over UND. In Iowa we have gotten some good kids because of our coaches are from there but again we are competition with N.Iowa and the SD schools. I see 6-10 Own Coburn from Iowa committed to SDSU. I agree we should try to red shirt players like Walter and Franken and have them hit the weights. SDSU is redshirting 3 players and have a thin bench. In defense of the the current coaches, when Bernstein and Shanks left after graduating in May, it is too late to recruit any big bodies to replace them. Getting more foreign players might be an answer but can be difficult without and foreign connections to coaches.

Not much defense today against Idaho. Need to guard them tighter on the 3 pointers. Franklin just doesn't have the height to play Division 1.

Nice comeback. Coach Brewster mentioned in the post game interview that he shortened his bench which was smart.

Is Moton still hurt. I don't see her on the bench.

Franklin and Dailey are turning over the ball too much. Stand and Reinke are getting beat on defense. Freije can't hit a shot. Morton and Klabo playing well. We are just not very good defensively, very little help defense and inability to guard the drive to the basket.

Klabo plays 24 minutes and takes 8 shots and was not in foul trouble. In looking at the box scores for SDSU, USD, and Northern Colorado they play their top players more than UND does.

I agree with you. We are shooting 30% on threes which puts us ranked 201 out of 345 Division 1 schools. Klabo and Freije have the physical bodies to be successful at Div 1. I would like to see Fleecs play more because of her size but she is only getting 6-7 minutes a game. I am not sure why they didn't redshirt Leet.

4-22 shooting from the guards. We have 4-5 players that are not Division 1 quality. The top teams from the Summit League are better than the Big Sky. Hopefully, we can recruit and bring in some better players.

Moody is being redshirted.

Not sure why some of the starters only played 18 - 20 minutes. Klabo had 20 minutes and Fallon 18 minutes. Coach said in the post game some players are battling injuries which may explain the minutes.

I like our players on the offensive end, we can create shots and score. However, the defense is pretty poor. Too many back doors and players getting beat off the dribble. In order to compete in the Summit the defense needs to get better.

We aren't getting much production from Stewart. He is not a good 3 point shooter. He had much better success early in the year taking the ball to the basket.
4 times tonite we had the first entry pass result in a turnover. With our problems stopping teams from scoring and rebounding, we need to win the turnover stat.
