I think the second night against Western really took it's toll on optimism, but this is too far gone the other way.  If you are willing to bet, I sure would put $1000 down on UND winning more than 1 game the rest of the way.

i hope you are right, but, it just looks like the team is lost, and checked out....cant blame them

Seriously? I thought he and Livanavage have been the best defenseman all year. Defense is not really the problem--it is the forwards and goaltending.

i think his net front pressence is absolutley trash on defense..just lost..cant decide who he should cover, more times than not

Hopefully the team can get some quality practices in and analysis all the multiple glaring issues after the series against WMU.
SCSU is in 8th place currently...let's keep them near the bottom and get some points to keep us in the top 4.

    Perron - Berg - Swanson
    OMac - Boisvert - James
    Croal - Wilkie - Strinden
    Littler - Schmaltz - Jammer

    Livanavage - MacDonald
    Strathmann - Wiebe
    Emery - Jubenvill

    Hobie

honestly wiebe sitting would be a nice, as well..he has looked absolutly lost on defense

What? He had 38 goals his junior year and should have won Hobey.

Blais messed that one up. He chose Brian Canady over Grant.

no, for sure he was a stud in college, im just saying that before that he wasnt lighting it up...tough pill to swallow in hindsight, but looking at the roster for UND at that time, it was a pretty good roster.  i still feel he would have been a great asset to an already outstanding roster..we missed..and missed bad

When did Ryan commit to Minnesota, because I believe he was 16 when Grant was already with the gophers.

that im not sure...i remember him being one of, if not thee number one 16 year old prospect at the time.  not sure where Grant was at that time.  He was a bit of a late bloomer, in the hockey world

So if Berry did that, and our biggest rival won two National Championships because of it, you would never let him forget that.  Probably lost out on 3 great college players because of that, because UND probably would have got Danny Irmen as well.

was a head scratcher, for sure..Grant was a solid player, a little older than average, but solid...seems like taking him to get Ryan would be a no brainer.  although, i believe, that Ryan regressed at UM way more than any one could have ever foreseen

If they are just kids, then they should be playing for the love of the sport, and NIL money wouldn't be as big as it has become.   With pay, and a free education come expectations.

bingo.. stopped being "just kids" when you financially gain from it

    $500 thousand reasons why

in the realm of things, is that really that much?  you continue to have a program spiral downward, soon it starts to look like UM or UMD during the game...empty seats galore.  how much does that cost?  its time to move on from BB..sooner the better.  need to get ahead of it, rather than play from behind(feels like we are already waay behind, actually)

I am not surprised. People know the reputation this program has for excellence and being in championship contention on a regular basis. And it is obvious that we are no longer that program. And people know this cannot continue indefinitely.

as i have told other people..at some point we will have a new coach, weather we want one or not...so why not now?

The bold part - over and over and over again.  No fix in sight.  With our facilities, training, nutrition, and equipment it is amazing that we are so soft and weak on the puck and in front of the net.  And although it can't be fixed by training what is going on with our passing?  I've never seen a team supposedly on a high level that can't make any adjustments to fix defects.

not to mention the amount of players that are completely lost on the ice, at times.  how many times is 25 gonna do nothing while an opposing player scores?
