As someone that lives in Phoenix (for now), one of the main reasons that my family and I are leaving in the next couple years is due to the weather.
I'd take a Grand Forks winter over a Phoenix summer any day.

well, 90% of the students go home for the summer....

Sad that we aren’t in the mix but surprising to see ASU and Harvard there

i get that it is a fake post, but why would you be surprised at ASU being there?  been prettygood lately, have a decent coach, play in a great conference and play in an absolute great weather enviroment.  plus it sounds like there is a very nice population of co-eds that are enrolled there..what more could a kid want?

Winning a game in the regionals would be a sign of progression. Heck, making the tournament would be a sign of progression ... given what we have seen ... but I totally get your point.

I would love to see UND get out of the regionals, but what I would really like to see is a team that passes the eye test. UND just hasn't has much flow the past few seasons. Players don't seem to connect. Passes are off. I know it's an exceptional example with an exceptional group of players, but remember the tic-tac-toe-tic-tac-toe goal back in '16? I know the CBS line was elite, but when that team played, everyone knew where everyone else was going to be all the time. To me the team chemistry was there. I just don't feel like we have seen any teams or lines play to that level of cohesiveness in a long time; it often feels very disjointed.

Again, I would love to see them splash and make it out of the regional, but I won't be crushed if they don't, so long as there are other indicators of progression in the first year.

this^^^^^100%  sometimes you cant explain it, its more of a feeling.  the last few seasons havent had that "feeling" like there was a potential to do great things.   so far...this feels different

Not sure who would be able to do that.

The owners make more money by growing the game overseas. The American market is saturated. The European market is not.

the local communities/cities could...its a ton of lost revenue for just one lost game in these cities

Looking at the draft Jacksonville and Giants over paid. I don't think Atlanta needs to trade up either.

agree...jags gave up WAY to much for hunter.  cleveland wasnt taking him.  glad sanders fell out of the first round...hope he slides right out of the 2nd, as well

  6. starman, no doubt, has wealth of hockey knowledge...but the amount of times that he drones on about some tiny factoid while game play is going on , is a bit irritating

Cam Berg was a portal pick-up as well. I would say a lot of the portal players that UND has historically picked up also have that "bleed green" attribute.  Not every single portal pick-up is going to work out.  But it's part of the process now.

Nick Jones is another one that had the unselfish characteristic we need.

    Hunter Johannes as well.

Hunter, cam berg, and Westin MIchaud are probably some of my favorite players to ever be at north dakota..wish we could have had them for 4 years

Coach just took a shot or two at the players the leave for money or don’t want to be there. Nice!

seems like the new coaches are all making it very clear that they dont want you if youre just here as a stepping stone

Would love to have Cole Spicer right now...

Gotta explain that one to me...kid thought he was better than he was, and didn't think he needed to keep his grades up?  I think the coaching staff made the correct call on this one

I don't have it, which is why I included "If this is true..." as a qualifier. That said, after dealing with my fair share of Red River parents over the years, I wouldn't be shocked ;) I kid, I kid.

i used to have a relative that coached at another EDC school...and i can without a doubt, guarantee that Red River parents are some of the worst out there. team sucked, and completely unaware of why that was..everybody elses fault (coach, ref, dirty players, ect) never the fact that their kid may not be that good
