I do like your comment (about the students) Nah, my stepdad is a huge Goofer fan. So he tries to give me crap about his precious Goofers. How they're the best and they've won back to back championships. This year is a different story............ He got quiet after the 1st Bulldog sweep. He really got quiet after the 2nd Bulldog sweep.

no what is being installed for the Fighting Sioux Sports Network is called "Free To Air". The dish is a 30" or bigger dish. A regular Dish or Direct is 20" dish. There are no subsctription fees, you buy the equipment and thats it. All the programming you can find is free. As an example, on Galaxy 3 (the satellite that FSSN is on) has some ethinic channels and CCTV, which is a chinese version of CNN. Any subscription channel would not be on the FTA (short for Free to Air) dish. Since Victory is a subscription, it isnt on there. Some of the stuff on FTA are (depending on your setup) Ethnic...lots of it Some Networks..like UPN, WB, PAX, FOX, and 2 ABC's out of Wyoming "Feeds"..these are like news feeds for on location and sports feeds. That is really what the FSSN is..a feed..It shows up on Thursday's at 7 for Sioux Illustrated, and when ther's a home hockey game (and a couple of b-ball games). Otherwise its a blank screen FTA is a hobby. Stuff comes and goes all the time.

Victory is asking for 2.20 per subscriber to all carriers (cable & Satellite). All the big name companies (Time Warner, Comcast, Charter, Medicom, Midcontinent, Dish, Direct) have basically told them to F off. They arent paying that. Here is a comparison...YES (the Yankees Network) was asking for $2 per subscriber. I dont think Victory has more programming right now than YES, yet they are asking for more? The big issue is all the big names want to make Victory ala-carte. If you want to see it, you have to pay extra. Victory wants it in the same boat as FSN, the basic package. Also, the Twins are on outside the Minneapolis area. There are some games on KSTC 45 in the Twin Cities. Those games will also be shown on Victory outside the Mpls area.

I should shoot you for that comment. I will probably go to 4 for sure...the Friday afternoon will be tough to get out of work for. Unless the Dogs play...then, I'll be sure to go.

uh, Mafia SCSU played in Duluth last year...I was there....and it was at the DECC.
-
unknown at this time first is the 1st round 10 vs 1 6 vs 5 you fill in the rest Seriously, if the Goofers make it to Friday, you can bet your damn dollar they will be at 7 on Friday
-
Just got my Final 5 tickets in the mail Saturday Really only need to put 2 to use Whatver Friday semi the Dogs are in Saturday nite's championship game
-
Dont forget about the "Friggin (Goofers) Sports Network" What was the only game of the 5 they didnt show??? Yep, the Friday afternoon game. The other 4 were on TV. Do you think they would put their precious goofers on a Friday afternoon?? What they should do is: 4 vs 5 Thursday Night 2 vs 3 Friday afternoon 1 vs. 4 or 5 Friday Night

Watch out for the ones who gouge you with shipping. I got a Uniden C/KU receiver for FREE, except it cost 40 bucks to ship it.

Ive got 2 30" dishes..one at G10, and my "hand movable" one, that usually stays on G3, but strays away to G11 & AMC9 on the weekends SBS6 usually has the Wisconsin games for Fox Sports Net North/Wisconsin Feed. On DBS satellite, you can see both games. Dish has rodents on channel 436 and Wisconsin on 447. I'll be happy next week because both UMD/UW games are on Fox Sports North/Wisconsin (447). Last week I was watching Mich State/Nebraska Omaha on Analog G11. Its funny watching the "feeds", seeing them do all the testing before the games, and doing the opening montage like 3 or 4 times. No commercials, and lots of perverted camera men. While on break, they'll zoom in on a beautiful woman. Best one Ive seen was on FSN ACC Sunday night B-ball. They were doing a post game interview with the big star (it wasnt going to be live for everyone to see) and after they got done, the announcer was talking and the player started getting up from the stool he was on. The announcer grabbed him and said "you can't leave until he tells you to" (after the camera was zoomed back to just the reporter)

weird...my receiver I just put in the 4 or 5 digit number and it would work. Never need a 0 in the front if its 4 digits. I'll be scanning tonight on both analog & digital to see if I can pick it up. If not, I have a backup (my buddy who lives in Duluth is recording it for me off of WDIO) I would try the same coordinates for tonight's game. I called WDIO a week ago and the station engineer told me they have a fiber pipe from the DECC to WDIO studios (its only a mile or so away), so home games are usually not beamed up on satellite. I would s**t a brick if it is on tonight, somehow. Since I couldnt get a ticket to tonights game, I have been resorting to anything I can do to try to view this game. GO DOGS!
