  1. Of the suggestions, I think #4 would work the best. Walking out on the game and sitting silently would probably get the point across but it could ruin team morale. Sitting silently would be better than walking out. Without the fans and their support, the team may not play up to par and I don't think anyone wants the Sioux to lose because the fans aren't into the game. Fans should stand up and cheer and be supportive and loud, just maybe they should watch the swearing. They have stated though that a lot of the problems are from fans who are not students. So maybe moving the student section wouldn't have that large of an impact. Whatever they choose to do, they better start deciding fast because this is no way to end the hockey season. The Sioux don't need silent fans, the fans don't need to be afraid to support their team, and the team doesn't need to feel like they have no support because their fans can't cheer.
  2. Jones was nominated defensive player of the week. Drew and David were also nominated for rookie and offenseman. 3rd nomination for Jones and he has won it once. Another factor showing his development.
  3. Sioux fan in Phoenix- How did you become a Sioux fan? I'm just curious considering you are in Phoenix. It's cool how they have fans all over.
  4. 16 points this season.
  5. I have watched Jones progress from his days in Juniors in Green Bay to where he is today. He has always been a solid defender but this year he has stepped up to the plate and is putting points on the board. He has stepped up when the Sioux have needed him, helping contribute to their wins over Minnesota in November, St. Cloud in January, and CC this past Friday night. He has 7 goals, a career-high for him, just 6 goals away from tying former UND defenseman John Noah for the record. He moves the puck well and is good on his feet. He is rarely beat to the net. He is a solid 2-way defender and is becoming more of an offensive-defenseman. He has 15 points so far this season, 3 more than in his first two seasons combined. He has played for the USA in the World Junior Championship and in 2 Four Nations Tournaments, being named top defenseman in one of them. The announcers have commented on him being one of the best in the WCHA and I also heard an interview with the New Jersey Devils scout, who agreed. I think Jones will jump straight to pros and will do very well with the Coyotes.
