High School elite. Week 6 Mattson and Gleason continue to do well. Shattuck actually loses a game. Budish with only a few points. Ryan Walters (stinkin' rodent) also not scoring much, but one of only a handful of 10th graders.

WCHA dominating the opening weekend. By my count the WCHA went 10-2-3 in games that count. That is absolutely destroying the other conferences. Not a good week for Hockey East.

BC is always a small team, but this year even more so. They looked very soft against Michigan and RPI. The Sioux can win this game by hitting clean, early, and often. We should control the corners and in front of the net. Our defense is very mobile so hopefully we can contain some of the BC rockets like Gerbe and Bertram. The BC goalie Muse looked very good, but he can't stop what he cant see. I think the biggest thing against BC is back check and don't give the puck away in transition. I'll go Sioux 4 BC 2. UND should stomp Northeastern. Some backups play and the Sioux win 6-1.

Finley was jumping into the rush quite a bit at the end of last season as well. Don't let 6'7" fool you, he can skate and shoot. Genoway looks like he could really turn into something special, but he has to stop with the bad giveaways. Chorney bailed him out yesterday after a bad turnover.

I bet Nate Schmidt was paying attention..

I disagree with the LaPoint comments. I though he played well, especially for game 1. On the PKs in the 3rd he was rock solid. Under control and clearing the puck like a veteran.

I hope there were some recruits watching this one...

I don't know that Zajac outplayed Martens so much as to justify removing a very good face off and 2-way center from the lineup. I thought that they both played well, and since it appears that Kozek is with VV and Trupp, it may leave Zajac as the odd man out THIS week. Also do you think that VV's line will go from 3 to 2? How is Forney going to break into this lineup?
