  1. I would compare him to Bozak who went to DU this year. He is an older player with good but not world class size / skating / shot playing in the BCHL. It is a little hard to gage how good he really is because he plays with Lee who makes that whole line so damn good. He is not nearly the player Lee is.
  2. This just in... 3. Sioux need more defensmen, here are some reasonable possibilities for the next few years. Corbin McPherson - D - Cowichan Valley (BCHL) Andrew MacWilliam - D - Camrose (AJHL) Matt Bruneteau - D - Shattuck St. Mary's (MN HS) Nick Mattson - D - Chaska (MN HS) Nate Schmidt - D - St. Cloud Cathedral (MN HS) Nick Bruneteau - D - Shattuck St. Mary's (MN HS)
  4. Mattson seems like one of the bigger prizes out there now. He will be a nice addition to any program fortunate enough to have him...
  5. You can come as my guest...
  6. He is a good pickup for the Gophers and should do well on the big ice. http://wiki.siouxsports.com/doku.php/sioux_recruiting
  7. J-P Lamoureux is INCH's current #1. I still think in the end Oshie, Chorney, or Duncan will be the Fighting Sioux rep. But how can you argue with what he has done. CC will be a good test. Turris is #2 and I say hold on there, he had 1 assist against a solid Fighting Irish team and then loaded up on points on the PP against 2 teams that aren't even going to get a sniff of the NCAA tourney. Keven Porter is #3 and I can't complain about that at all. He is legit, and came back for his senior year. I would expect him to be in the Hat Trick, baring injuries. http://www.insidecollegehockey.com/7Archiv...racker_0607.htm
  8. Really the wild were missing their 3 best players, Gaborik, Dimitra, and Backstrom. Harding is no Backstrom and let in 2 soft goals. Just the fact that the wild were able to play with them shows how deep they are. Martin Skoula however really sucked the whole game. He decided he didn't need to skate with Crosby and the next thing you know Crosby is scoring on a breakaway.
  9. Come on... What about the 3 brothers line in Vancouver?
  10. WTF, sell a kidney, get to the game. There is 10 of them there...
  11. Got my tix, should be a blast. I saw Sid play in San Jose last year and I have to say watch him and not the game. It should be fun as both teams have been playing pretty wide open this season. I hope the Wild are healthy.
  12. I think INCH has him as #4 on the Hobey Watch...
  13. That part should be easy enough...
  14. From WCH: This is the Metro All-Star team that will be getting their butts handed to them by Shattuck in the upcoming NIT. The roster for the Metro-area team: 1 G Derek Caschetta 6
  15. It has been mentioned that Kelly would love to come to UND, so I hope he chooses to do so as a walk on, if nothing else. There clearly isn't room in 2008, but if he stuck with it similar to what Martens did, he could eventually find his way into the lineup.
  16. The only way he would know there was a Davidson on the team if he read the roster. Marto is not 6'4" 225...
  17. The assumption some of you are making is that this is a true and complete account of what happened. I think that is a poor assumption, and one that I am not willing to make.
  18. "Children, don't look at or speak to the crazy fool..."
  19. Hmmmm.... post a blog complaining about threats and intimidation, and then end it with threats and intimidation. Sounds like someone needs to lose their season ticket rights... What really happened here is that The Sioux outplayed Tech in two games, and in the second one Marco Hunt remembered what holding and interference were and as a result that vastly more talented team blew out the perennial cellar-dwellers... Keep in mind that penalties were even in that second game, skill was not... Yawn, I hope Hak responds like he should, i.e. big pat on the back. As a aside, how STUPID do you have to be to confuse Davidson with Marto, particularly since Davidson was in Grand Forks.
  20. I think your man crush on Oshie was healthier...
  21. No woman is worth it...
  22. Probably like this:
  23. and the DQ cup...
  24. As a frequent critic, I thought it would be appropriate to congratulate Forney on his first good game as a member of the Fighting Sioux. I think we saw some real potential last night. He made some plays and showed some promise. If he can stay in th lineup, I would expect he could only get better and he might be a legit scoring threat by the end of the season. Way to go...
  25. Having an absolute sniper on the 3rd line is a real luxury..
