I gotta think it was sarcasm.  Your season is on the line, you are offensively challenged, of course you pull the goalie.

More just not a fan of pulling the goalie when we have sustained pressure with 5. If it was just another game sure but like i said when the season is on the line and only down by one.... we just saw what happens most of the time when you pull the goalie but hindsights 20/20

My God, this team SUCKED!  Good riddance, UND team of '18-19.  Go away and never be remembered.

Our coaches suck.. this season is completely on them

I liked what Jake Brandt said during Saturday’s broadcast about how so many times guys are trying to pick corners and oftentimes miss and that it’s sometimes better to simply put the puck on net and play for rebounds. I get why guys try to hit the corners, because these goalies are so big and athletic but throwing one off their pillows and crashing for rebounds can be effective too. Hopefully we’re successful at both this weekend.

    This is spot on!

Yes, dump into the corner and feed the points. We absolutely have the players for this kind of scheme because that is, to a T, how we've won games. We have the exact kind of players to run this kind of system. Hard working, grind it out players.

They have talent, but the type of forwards we have now, with the exception becoming Kawaguchi, aren't ones that can create their own space and make a play. So, we have a system that relies on hard work and puck control. An influx of playmaking and scoring can absolutely get this team to move forward because we have great D and goaltending and a group of hard workers.

We have won games this way because its the only system Berry runs and why our record is what it is..  we lose most battles in the corner because Rhett and Smith are the only forwards we have that have the size to really battle for the puck. We do have a great D core but they fact they are the ones that are running the offensive is why our forwards arent producing. Which plays into the whole this style of play isnt meant for offensive output more control of games

Literally all of these things come down to forward talent, IMO. The system is geared towards our most talented players. We have a gaping hole of talent in the forward group, overall, with the upperclassmen. I 100% believe a guy like Adams needs players to set him up. Shane Gersich is the perfect example. We just don't have the forward talent to get the younger guys involved consistently.

I disagree, these kids have talent or they wouldn't be playing at UND. I would say its more of the offensive scheme that Berry is running. He is still running a dump into the corner grind and control system when we dont have the right players for it. This style of play takes away alot of offense out of games but usually gives you a chance at winning against better teams. The problem is they run it all the time even against teams they are clearly better then and its hurting this team.

Ok, your the best, sorry....not every call on Gardner is a good call, just so you know

Not saying im the best just saying that is a text book goaltender interference penalty. I would like to say most of Rhetts penalties arent deserved to but its the opposite, they are about as blatant as they can be

No, we already know it’s not. They’ll have to sweep Omaha next weekend and go 2-0 on the road during the nchc 1st round against a superior team. Even then I don’t think a spot is guaranteed

I think they could go 2-1 to get into the frozen faceoff and as long as they get 3rd place with a sweep next weekend it would get them close in pairwise thanks to how high the other teams are in it.

No, that's actually Berry's team, he did the recruiting, so they were his guys, but we're just getting rid of Hakstol's dead weight players. Just wait until next year.

If you think that coaching kids to their full potential isnt important but just recruiting kids to play somewhere is..  then its not worth even debating with you

That's precisely how I feel. I'm glad others are saying the same because I don't understand why there isn't optimism.

Because of our coaching staff..  we have talent this year we just have a really bad coach. So even if we bring in great forwards our coaching staff can still ruin the season.

  10. I think the craziest thing for me is that they keep trying to do the same formations and forecheck systems as if it's just gonna magically start working... this coaching staff is not working out

    Reiger's a defenseman. Johnson is a forward.

Johnson came into UND as a defenseman but they moved him to forward cause their  D core was to strong for him to get playing time.... that tells you how bad our coaches are.
