    ryan bayda 1 goal for lowell in 5-2 loss to hartford in round in ahl playoffs...

    and a assist for goren to his 2 goals....

    Lee Goren with 2 goals, including the game-winner, in the first round of the AHL playoffs.

    have all teams beside bemidji state form there own confernece in there own region and bemidji state can join the WCHA since they are so close to all teams around the area....replace alaska with bemidji state or just add the beavers and have a odd number of teams...oh yeah, bemidji state needs a fricken arena as well....i don't know..just rambling here because i am bored...

    Should the CHA not be able to replace Air Force before the 2006-07 season, it would be placed on a two-year probation by the NCAA during which it could still receive the tournament berth. At the end of that two-year period, the league would have to furnish a sixth member or lose its automatic qualifier. Even if that replacement member is found, the league would still have to give up the automatic qualifier in the seasons following equal to the number of years it played below quota.

    at the pep rally in columbus before saturdays game kupchella actually said the word SIOUX.he said something like go sioux or something close...i said to myself holy shi$ he must have made a mistake and it slipped out..

    was that kupchella who started the "UND" chants at the frozen 4 :lol:;)

    yes, i was next to the guy who looked like kenny rogers...that was us...i am 24 so i was one of the younger ones at the table...funny...

    Hmmm... if you were at BW-3 on Saturday, there was only group that could have been you. At the first big round table in the bar area was a group that adequately seemed to cross generations (I particularly remember the older gentleman with white hair and I believe a beard and mustahce). If that was you, I was at the very next table. Otherwise, you were definitely there on Thursday when the crowd kept singing and starting cheers. Then Wednesday (karaoke night!) I was at the round table nearest the stage.

    yes you must have ran by me. i also noticed a few sioux fans..i was just wearing a black sioux t-shirt and was with my uncle, grandpa and 2 friends..was also at BW-3, 3 out of the 4 nights i was in columbus..must have seen you there as well..to bad it would have been nice to meet you...

    Cross-referencing my recap (posted above) with others':

    I was at the UND reception before Saturday's game, then the Holiday Inn tent; ran into MafiaMan's friend, but no Cratter or Forecheck.

    I was in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on Friday afternoon from about 2 until close, saw a couple Sioux fans (AZSIOUX?)

    Re: my mentioning Sioux fans hanging at the Platinum Fox, I only heard about it before Saturday's game (again, Holiday Inn tent), but it didn't seem to be open when I went by that night (besides which, I figured most Sioux fans left right after the game).

    I also spent a fair amount of time at Varsity Club before, between, and after games on Thursday; at outdoor tent (not Holiday Inn) before and after Sioux game on Thursday; the BW-3 by Danny's Platinum Fox to close out each night.

    no that was not me. i was in cleveland at the rock and roll hall of fame friday...i have one of those shirts though..

    on the platinum fox, wow now that was a experience, not sure if it was a good one though....very interesting and i will leave it at that or let mafiaman speak on this place...

    AZSioux, that wasn't you in the "Phoenix AZ Sioux Fan" on the back of a Tshirt was it?

    nice WPOS, you were probably the group always up that i noticed over there...i will take you up on the UND VS MN championship game next year ???

    I just wanna say, as a semi-rational fan a few things:

    1.  sorry for any Siuox fans that wanted to play BD out there, we never found  a place to play so I never bothered to call you about playing.

    2.  UND played the better game on thursday and deserved the win.

    3.  The FF is ALWAYS fun and I am still tired and beat.

    4.  Our group was still there Saturday and was as loud as possible on Thursday, but for some stupid reason the rest of our section liked their hands.... ???

    5.  The two goals we got DID breathe some hope for me for about 3 minutes till we deflated again.

    6.  I look forward to NEXT year when it could be a UND/Gopher FF and/or champ game unless the NC$$ HE bias has something to say...

    sorry, will fix that for you to 70%....just comparing them to what i noticed on thursday i guess..my bad on the %...hope this % is ok ???

    I was sitting near the Gopher section on Saturday night and there were still plenty of Gopher fans with Gopher jerseys,sweatshirts, jackets etc in the stands. So I think your 90% of Gopher fans not there is big exaggeration.

    2nd this...great site and very lucky to have it for our sioux hockey fix..thanks to all that run the board and the time and effort.1st class site...race for #8 starts very soon and can't wait for the team we will have so we can have many more great chats on this site........

    just got home. hell of a time in columbus..first of the people in columbus were first class all around. it was cool that the frozen 4 was around the college atmosphere at the ohio state..the horseshoe was sweet to see..i think mafiaman and a few others got to go inside. the games were so much fun and the sioux fans were great.met a lot of new fans..mafiaman, siouxnami and others....all great people...seeing all other wcha teams represented was very cool as always..took til the last day but ended up seeing a huskies jersey...from the people who did not make the trip watching or listening at home to the people at sports bars all over the country to the ones who were fortunate to make it to columbus i have never been more proud to be a sioux fan after last night..its something i cannot explain and you all know what i am talking about...

    observations................the NC$$ made a clear and cut point by not using the native american logo on almost everything they sold..pathetic...they used the ND logo on everything...that got old....i have a logo cup from a drink at the game that has the sioux logo but it was in black and white with all other logos in color..WTF??? strange...

    a great site to behold was the gopher fans sitting on their hands for most of the game on thursday..god that was great dominating them all over the ice and shutting them up for at least a few hours...another great site was seeing 70% leave and not be there for saturdays game..the few that were there were big denver fans which is what to expect..all in all met a lot of great fans of other programs...college hockey fans are second to none...

    not to sure what to think about them showing the robbie bina injury on the big screen during the game..then showing the jersey hanging in the locker and the denver players with the #28 stickers on the helmets..maybe they should have not shown the hit and the other stuff would have been ok...still trying to figure this one out..

    it was great having eddie belfour at the sioux party a the crown plaza on sat night before the game..he signed tons of autos and was great...the band was playing and it was a lot of fun!!

    friday was the off day..we drove to celveland to the rock and roll hall of fame..pretty cool..a lot of history and it was worth the 2 hour drive..then came back and hit up a old irish pub called O'RYANS...very fun atmosphere....oh yeah, drank a lot of beer in columbus...almost left that out..........

    last note....seeing jake brandt give a wave to the fans for the last time was nice to see heading off the ice...wish these seniors could have gotten # 8 but they gave it a hell of a run this season.. i have a very good feeling # 8 is not far out of range...

    in all it was another great run by the sioux..thanks for the great season........FIGHT ON SIOUX

    not sure whos nervous, myself , no, all of my gopher friends back in msp that usually would call asap with some sort of bet on the game, YES...had to squeeze a bet out of one of my fiends who is usually game for any type of bet but the rest are MIA!!! kind of funny..oh well..go sioux and beat the damn gophers!!!!!!!!!!!

    1st ever post?? making predictions.... hmmm

    I am predicting the Sioux vs DU for the title and a little payback for what they did to Robbie Bina but instead of us checking them from behind we will take the national title away from them. I would love to see that game!!!  Of course a Sioux-Gopher national title game would have been cool too if it was possible but hey maybe next year, (if the Gophers can make it that far!  :lol: )

    by the way, any hummer or navigator limos :lol:

    looks like fargo to columbus according to mapquest is 15 hours and 25 minutes...these estimates are always longer then reality so probably 13 1/2 hours....

    a very similar sign to this idea was used during the frozen 4's in providence and in albany...this one worked because they won in 1997 so the seniors were going after the 2nd title in 4 years and the next year it worked because we won it in 2000.went like this

    i have had my flights from az for a while..get plane tix every year then just wait and hope.. fly in wed night from phx.. my grandpa and i are coming..my uncle and a buddy coming from g-forks..we are getting our game tix and hotel and car rental as we speak....can't wait to meet many of you on this board...will post more info as i hear whats going on....hope they have a cool fanfest by the arena..it was very cool in providence in 2000 and albany was not as good in 2001...
