  2. thats the shirt they wear at SOUTHGATE BAR in grand forks. i have seen the servers wearing them. sweet shirt...

I think we need to re-do some t-shirts that I wore a long time ago..."The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly" t-shirts. Anyone remember those? That could be on the back and in smaller words on the front could be "siouxsports.com".

    The Good...Sioux logo.

    The Bad...Badger logo.

    The Ugly...Gopher logo.

Of course, I could get my screenprinter to get the appropriate licensing fees from the schools. :D

  3. sorry, good post but i had to do this...

    its ZACH not ZACK

Would we have the Shattuck pipeline if Zack would have went to Minnesota? Remember his brother lead us to a national title game? I am not trying to argue, but Zack helped the program in other ways then his being here for 2 years. He will also be dedicated to the Sioux hockey family for a lifetime like most of the other alumni. I dont know what kind of person Kessel is. But I bet that in 5 years a guy like Thomas Vanek will lose touch with U of M.

Zack seems like most of our alumni that will do anything for the program. Weather its finacial donations or donating Jerseys and other things. Playing in the Siouxperswing. Belfour was only here one year and he was the talk of the town in Columbus. Ed gave the school a lot of publicity in Canada. Look at the 99 stanley cup playoffs, Then he brought the cup back. Zack is the same as our most the guys who come here. I think that helps for recruiting.

My point is that guys like Zack help the program in other ways. There dedication is here for a lifetime. Maybe Zack will have a son and send him here in the future. We have 2 sons of former players and one nephew coming this year. Some players are so greedy they spend there time to get to the next level and they leave and you never here from them again. Is that good for the program.

  4. mafiaman....honestly i could care less either way. i do agree on the red, white, blue comment... just having some fun during this boring hockey off season. let me know when its october

if parise is GOD then whats kessel's nickname???

I gotta disagree with you on this one, AZSIOUX. Yes, this is a Sioux board, but it doesn't mean we have to be homers all the time. I think we're all in agreement that we'd like Phil Kessel to be the second coming of Dave Spehar (well, unless he's wearing the red, white, and blue of the USA), but we'll see what happens. There is no question that the Sioux would be heaping praises upon the kid had we gotten him. Instead, everyone's trying to lobby shots at his defensive prowess. Time will tell of the Parise vs Kessel comparison, but if Kessel brings home so much as one NCAA title to the U of small m, he'll be the clear winner in my book.

  8. i also cannot stand DU anymore but lets give them the credit here....back to back is unbelievable..lucky goaltending or not..who cares they won...i think gopher fans were in a no win situation last season...hummm..do we cheer for the sioux? probably not a chance in hell..or do we cher for denver? but then our back to back does not mean as much....what a tough decision......hopefully you as a gopher fan will have that same problem in the future over and over and over..

    I contribute Denver's Back-to-Back on "lucky goaltending."

    Nothing more.

Like most UND fans, I can't stand Denver. What do they have...2 fans? 3?

I think being an elite team constitutes having a chance to win the title each year. With such a huge gap in Denver's successful teams and championships, I'd hardly call them elite.

  9. THETRIOUXPER, i know TJ is a player!! you sure love him to death..you family or something? was just having fun with the number guessing like everyone else....im sure he will be just fine no matter what number he wears.....can't wait to see the kids skills.............

  10. Im not sure if alexander and lee put together could drop the gloves and have a chance against greene for that #2 :silly::blush: lee should get 22.

lets just hope greene will be in that green and white sweater next season!!!!!

also the next guy who takes on #7 better be a sniper.....

  11. its a new age. the money is out there and you go when you can. a top notch program like this will always have a few players leave early and some not but the best part is that we RELOAD not rebuild...best luck to brady...bring in oshie. kozek, duncan and toews!!!!!!!!!!!

You know I am getting sick and tired of watching these kids leave early.

I remember when the older Lundbohm left early and look where it got him.

Oh, well thats what happens when your a top program. Oh course there are many kids that will take their place.

    <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

  12. good luck to Brady.....he was fun to watch when he was on the ice. to bad we did not get to see more of him last year. moving on to our future stars now....
