osh is out on the IR for a week or so then go from there. they knew it could be apossibility with that injury so he will continue to rehab and get back asap the scar tissue in him was going to pop and thats what happened, its really part of the healing process. http://www.stltoday.com/blogzone/morning-s...est-coast-trip/ There was some hope that T.J. Oshie would at least go on the Blues

i knew this would be a story sooner or later concerning 2 sports athletes when already having commited to a college for another sport i see both sides and understand but you cant tell a kid what to do and force him either way. maybe a parent can influence a kid but thats about it. it should be the kids choice in the end. lucia's concern http://westerncollegehockey.blogspot.com/ forneys injuries from football if i remember right, oh i just saw that mentioned in the blog this is a interesting situation overall as i bet buddish would have been a 1st round selection coming up but now who knows with the injury. its the athletes choice in the end, not lucias but i also get lucias concern. if the kid wants to play then he should play whatever he wants, im sure other schools would be happy to have him if thats a big deal to don jaun lucia. i know lucia has mentioned in the past kids shouldnt play hockey year around if he plays other sports so now since it hits him with buddish he changes his mind.

for sure. do this and its free call into every talk radio show sports or nonsports and when they put you on air then just read quickly that there is a whiteout jan 9-10 for the games flood the radio waves tell them MR HOBEY BAKER said to wear white and ill make it a true whiteout and use actual whiteout to remove the umTC logo
-
who knows. harrington may be the back up next year or maybe they go for another goalie as well. its no secret eidsness is the goalie now and the goalie of the future for the sioux so that has a lot to do with who would even consider coming to UND. its a different tme in recruiting as everyone wants to play NOW so we will see.
-
ah ha, thanks COME ON SIOUX FANS - WEAR WHITE lets do our best to make this happen overall without shirts being handed out. spread the word over the next month and lets make it a true gand forks white out listen to MR. HOBEY BAKER and wear white

from brad http://www.areavoices.com/undhockey/ Duncan, Sioux hope for white out UND and captain Ryan Duncan are asking for a white out for the series against Minnesota on Jan. 9-10. "We have seen arenas where all of the fans wear the same color and it looks really impressive," Duncan said. "I've been to Calgary Flames games in which they created a 'C of Red.' Every person joined in and wore red. We would like to have the same feel here with everyone wearing white. "Every time we face the Gophers, the arena turns into a playoff-type atmosphere. It's a huge advantage to be at our home rink the only time we face them during the season. This will only help unite the fans and make it tougher for the opponent." Sioux shop is making white t-shirts specifically for the Sioux-Gophers series. Ralph Engelstad Arena promoted a white out last year for the Sioux-Gophers series and it didn't come close to working. Should be interesting to see if it picks up this season.

whats the difference between the 2 items as they list the same shirt for 2 different prices??
-
wear white then would help the cause a little ill be there i white for sure

OK, the ralph wants you to wear white for the white out weekend vs the gophers. just saw a ryan duncan ad on this page upper right to buy the white shirt. they didnt need to put the gopher logo on it. stupid idea of course. guess in these tough economy times you wont see white shirts being given out for something like this. too bad. click on upper right ad and on top of buying it they are charging 18.23 for the shirt. come on. when will they get it. make a cheap white shirt with the sioux logo on it, you dont need the gopher logo by any means and charge 5.00 to 10.00 and have thousands of them for the series. fans better just get the whites out of your closet and try to make it happen i guess. http://www.siouxshop.com/ots-und-v-mn-l-s-...1-pr-19060.html but...............at least there is an effort this year with this ad duncan did and the shirts. thats a good sign!

per brad http://www.areavoices.com/undhockey/ Sioux goalie Brad Eidsness is once again the WCHA rookie of the week. Eidsness stopped 72 of 76 shots on the weekend, a save percentage of .947, in leading UND to a sweep of Harvard. On Friday night, Eidsness stopped a career-high 39 shots in a 10-1 Sioux win. In the last eight games, Eidsness has a .933 save percentage, 2.01 goals-against average and a 4-2-1 record. Sioux players in weekly honors Nov. 18 -- Brad Eidsness, WCHA rookie of the week Dec. 2 -- Matt Frattin, WCHA offensive player of the week Dec. 9 -- Brad Eidsness, WCHA rookie of the week

saw this elsewhere and was halarious DUNCAN vs ROE previous fight duncan vs roe duncan is in white and roe in red duncan foght his own teammate as well, or maybe that would be roe in white as he hits a couple guys and then skates off scared
-
good to know, thanks also the color schemes are this for those who may want to know WHITE HOMES - black over white over green GREEN AWAYS - white over black OLDER BLACK STYLE - white over black over green CURRENT BLACK NIKE SWIFTS - lighter grey/silver one color
-
not saying they are harvard. just saying they arent a dynamic offensive machine that some think they are. no doubt its going to be a tough series but who isnt in the wcha. win friday then maybe great things can start to happen. go sioux
-
its not like scsu is a high flying scoring machine at 3.69 goals per game. they are very top heavy with roe and linemates but we can get them deeper on the lines. no way scsu sweeps. a split is very possible but i also will say we wont need their goalie to sieve to score. i agree the PP will be key and converting at that... go sioux sioux sweep
-
but dont you have to buy the jerseys there to ahve them do it? i believe you do or at least you did i know for a fact. as long as the colors and schemes are right thats all that matters. the texture isnt needed to make it a sweet looking jersey and yes they wont do current players. try others to get current players done. maybe home of economy. thats where i got one done think that my uncle got for me. im sure there are others
-
i know the ralph can get them done for you but you have to buy the jersey from them. im sure diggler or a few others may know where you ca get the real deal done
-
im sure pretty hard as it sounds as the sioux are still in theri thoguhts but i would say chalk this one up as a major junior player in a year. just a hunch. that being said if we can get this kid in somehow he would be a big time pick up for a couple years. top american draft prospect

HE KNEW HIS ROLE and still does he is getting his degree im sure of and if he wanted to leave he could have 3 years ago or last year. nobody is forcing him to stay and im sure he wold tell you this day that he never thought he would have the honest chance at a back up role let alone starting 4 games in his career as well. he seems to be a hell of a teammate and seems to have pushed BE into a solid goalie and has started 3 games. you dont seem to get it at all when it comes to roles and playing as you seem to think its 5th grade basketball when every in guarenteed 2 quarters or is it more about walski being from fargo. thats my guess as you did mention that in a post previously. just gona drop this and agree to disagree dave. i respect others opinions but this isnt going anywhere and you seem to be the only one that doesnt get this
-
being fair?? this isnt 3rd grade. its a top tier division 1 hockey program battling for national titles EVERY season possible. you seem to be missing the point on certian rles on teams. many players in many cllege sports go get their eduaction and sit on the bench because it was their dream to be on that team. maybe they could have played division 2 or 3 but thats THEIR choice. the coach doesnt force you to be on the team. you choose to when you are a walk on and so forth. if you dont like it then move on somewhere else and its CLEAR walski knew his role and knows his role now and for himt to have even 4 starts on his college career is 4 more than many many former 3rd string walk on goalies ever had.
-
come on dave. are you serious? his dream was to play for the sioux and put that uniform on and he knew his role from the get go and im sure he understood this season he would get a shot and the coaches have decided BE is the guy. EVERY team has a 3rd goalie dave that NEVER plays and walski is the exception to that as he worked hard to get to the 2nd strring spot. if he wanted playing time he would have transfered a year or 2 ago dave. every team has the same siatuation with walk on goalies and sometimes even a walk on no goalie that may not play more than 5 to 10 games their wole career. its part of the system to have those types of players. there are teams this seasn that has only played 1 goalie. should the 2nd stringers who probably knew they wouldnt play maybe 1 or 2 games just quit and then lets not even go talk about the 3rd stringer who wont see any pucks besides the practice pucks guarenteed.
