  1. and add the antics of every usa player that scored as well , the first 3 goals. he was responding those those and all the players got caught up being dumbasses overall. emotional game will bring that out but all plaers were doing it. not just tavares.

GLEASON, no points in 6-5 loss BRUNETEAU, no points in 6-5 loss CICHY, 2 shots in 8-1 loss KRISTO, WJT tourney WHITE, no points in 6-5 loss but a 5 minute fighting major tri city and des moines are very bad this year time to go out and party..happy new year..........

  4. miller time from brad Weekly Wednesday update There were a couple of topics of discussion at this week's meeting with the local media. First was re-hashing what happened at the GLI. Second was moving on to Bemidji State. Third was the chatter about the World Junior matchup between the U.S. and Canada tonight. Several of the players have made plans to watch the game and cheer for their country. The one injury update is that Mario Lamoureux will not be available to play this weekend. Lamoureux had his appendix taken out over Christmas break. Coach Dave Hakstol said that Lamoureux is progressing well and that Lamoureux would probably tell you he's ready to play. Hakstol said that on the team's trip back from Detroit, they ran into Rylan Kaip at the airport. Kaip was on his way to Manitoba, where he ended up scoring his first professional goal.
  5. the usa started all the hands to the ear skating by the canada bench kessel style after the first 3 goals. then canada followed it. both teams were punks. easy to see that. tavares is the best player in this tourney and he backed it up with a hatty and many other chances. usa played well but couldnt hold the momentum in that first. canada wins gold and we will see if usa gets there if it works that way in the medal round. bottom line that was a hell of a hockey game. great goals, great passing, big hits and big saves later in the game. Quarterfinals Russia vs. Czech Republic, 2:30 p.m. Friday USA vs. Slovakia, 6:30 p.m. Friday Semifinals Sweden vs. USA/Slovakia winner, 2:30 p.m. Saturday Canada vs. Russia/Czech winner, 6:30 p.m. Saturday Medal games Bronze, 2:30 p.m. Monday Gold, 6:30 p.m. Monday
  6. toews was always suppose to be a star, oshie was highly touted and just develpoed faster than some people thought out of HS. the murray situation wont hurt the program at all. andy didnt like the way the injury was handled it seemed and that was that leading to the europe loophole. jordy is solid but oh wel, you cant get every brother combo out there. i think und leads the universe in bringing in brothers so when you lose a few then oh well. forbort and mattson will be high draft picks and kristo will be a star i believe. hak just doesnt have the title yet and yes hes only been coach for 4 years but when you get to the frozen 4 in those years 1 banner is expected and they simply get slapped around by BC no matter what
  7. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/blog/index?...;name=hradek_ej winter classic blurb on toews 2. Jonathan Toews: After a bit of a slow start, the Hawks' 20-year-old captain has rediscovered his scoring touch in recent weeks. In his past 15 games, Toews has put up 14 points. The Winnipeg native, selected with the third overall pick in the 2006 draft, starred at the University of North Dakota before joining the Hawks for the 2007-08 season. Toews has great puck skills. So much so that he's able to stick handle through tight traffic.
  8. the best part of that trip was right in front of us when we beat holy cross and their goalie blew chunks mid game right on the ice
  9. dam that year. my grandpa and i jumped in his suv last minute at midnight and drove 12 hours to the springs from az and then the denver game outshot them like crazy. that sioux team wasnt gona lose any other way but like you said, oh well. i told my grandpa mid 3rd that one bad bounce and we are screwed and then the deflection goal that snuck by jpar. it was denvers year for sure.
  10. nah, i bet hak doesnt work like that
  11. in todays age of college hockey when everyone wants to play NOW and not wait for the most part this tactic will backfire and already has. eaves can recruit, no doubt but will this catch up to him with some younger recruits? it just may
  12. i meant in college rube not in the nhl. all 3 will get a ring when they all become free agents to sign with the same team
  13. i heard that eaves is trying for 2 teams actually at UW so that explains his over recruiting
  14. canada gets usa tonight 4-3 i will guess but they will meet for the gold as well and make for a epic game like the last time usa won the damn thing with parise/murray/stafford schroeder, jvr and wilson will have to match the tavares line if we have a chance. our d has been very solid so hope they can keep it up. go USA
  15. ill go with toews over parise for career but time will tell. both will be huge parts of their olympic teams and captains for many years to come. give osh a couple seasons and he will be wearing a letter as well. what a crop that has come through and none of them have rings just shows how hard it is overall i guess
  16. under appreciated or not. who cares. he was solid at UND and will be a good nhl d man for many years. good for him on the goal!!
  17. kazatstan is a joke. there is no way they should be in this tourney at all. these games do nothing for usa or canada but pad stats.
  18. yeah what a joke as they dropped 15 on them. funny stuff, oh well. should be a hell of a game tomorrow. hope usa is ready to go as im sure tavares and company will be
  19. zpar #1 star and tj #2 star on espn gamesheet - nice!! http://scores.espn.go.com/nhl/boxscore?gameId=281230019
  20. danny mattson 2 goals last night and 2 assists tonight as holy angels wins shootout to advance to holiday tourney title game 7 gp, 7-15=22 AJHL macwilliam starts back up jan 3rd after a 2 week break - he has 5-12=17 in 37 gp so far. 159 PIM which is 2nd on the team. he had 13 points all last season and ended with 130 PIM USHL has been on break until tomorrow
  21. they did sweep tech
  22. 7-0 usa so far mid game. kristo with his first goal usa vs canada tomorrow 730 est time how the hell does kazatsan in this tourney? what a joke. they avent scored a goal and have given up 22 so far to canada (15) and make it 8 now from usa.
  23. oshie with a diving play/pass top create a 2 on 1 for a blues goal out of his own zone. wow. what a play!!
  24. the ralph... 2-4 mariucci... 4-1-1 final 5... 1-1 regionals... 1-0 frozen 4... 1-0
  25. any road wcha series 2 points is the goal unless you win friday then you get greedy. any fan would be happy with 2 points at the ralph vs the sioux like any other tough road series. i also missed a win so hak is 9-6-1 vs lucia, not 8-6-1
