  1. Ya, that would have been tough to take. Can you imagine? I would've loved to have been in that room when those words were spoken. I wonder if she has left her house yet...but enough of that.
  2. I actually think this Saturday will be a really good match up.
  3. OK, I didn't think they would do something like that, but after reading what Kimberly Kenville offered up during the Intercollegiate Athletics Committee, I was concerned. Seriously, not being in a conference at all or moving back to Div II? Wasn't really sure what we were dealing with.
  4. I'm lame...only driving 285 miles....ticket for one. Lonely loser. But I will make a lot of noise.
  5. How many schollies still available? Anybody know? Or are all scholarship offers on hold bc of deficit?
  6. Never heard that, but if it's true then that's too bad. Not relevant to Saturday, however.
  7. Don't look past Bouma...BIG back at 5'11", 220. Lots of experience. Speed and power. Defense needs to bring their A game. The quarterback and RB have potential to be a 1-2 punch. Gotta bring it. One game at a time...never overlook anything.
  8. Definitely can't underestimate USD. They play until the end, they proved that last week against Weber State. Without the first 3 initial turnovers, it wouldn't have even been that close of a game. Can't forget that they broke the 26 game home field winning streak against NDSU, defeating them 24-21 on the Bison turf just last year. Glenn described them as a tough, gritty bunch. Nielson has a reputation of building teams.
  9. Gibbs tweeted that NDSU said he could earn a scholarship if he performed at camp, however bc of an injury he was unable to do any summer camps, therefore, the scholarship offer never came. USD came in with a scholarship and he took it. I see he is invited to compete in the Blue-Gray All American Bowl, one of 4 RBs selected in the United States to play on the West team. They play in the Dallas Cowboys stadium in January and are coached by NFL coaches, aired on ESPN.
  10. Even SD is happy for Gibbs about his commit....media loves him. He got sound byte of the year too after his team won the state championship. Some phrase about his wedding day wouldn't be be any better than that...apologizes to his future wife. This was after his NDSU commit.. http://www.kdlt.com/news/local-news/langfords-gibbs-commits-to-ndsu/40004106#.V17EYUBgqKw.gmail
  11. Hey, totally understand your passion for UND football. Bubba is a great guy, along with the rest of the coaching staff. They will do great things. Just kinda wish they could've wrangled Gibbs in. Would've loved to watch him play there. If it's true that they only offered him a walk on spot, no reason for him to commit there either I guess. I'm out though, this thread is getting ugly.
  12. Hmmmm......interesting....how do you know this information? Is it public knowledge? I hadn't heard that. I heard that he was offered a partial at NDSU.
  13. Exactly Momster, these are 16 to 17 year old kids that are trying to make their way through this process. Lincoln Gibbs lives close to my community. I don't think there is a person who doesn't respect him. His work ethic, passion, community service, and integrity is of no other high school kid I've seen. He is a waiter at the restaurant we patron, a kid from a small school with incredible talent. I went to UND, my wife and I were hoping that he would go to UND. There was almost of full page story today regarding Lincoln and the offer in the Aberdeen American News. He's a class act. The Bison scored with this kid. Longtime Fan, I can see why you are PO'd.
  14. I saw through Twitter that Lincoln Gibbs, Langford Area, SD, a RB was offered.
  15. I know that Lincoln Gibbs, Langford Area, from SD, was invited and attended their spring game last year, and I believe was invited and participated in a couple of unofficial visits and a season game. He also attended their prospect camp last summer. I spoke with him recently and he said he will be attending the Junior Day on April 16th. He is the running back that broke 3 SD All-Class state records during the SD State championship game last year. Super nice kid, we've been kind of watching him make the rounds throughout ND and SD visits (NDSU, SDSU, USD) He's from our area and we are hoping he doesn't go outside of SD, ND, or MN. He's a 2017 prospect as well.
