  1. What adds to my frustration is that there was a time not that many years ago, MB, WB, and VB were excelling at high rates. Then throw in football being very frustrating, its getting hard to stay positive really at all about the state of UND athletics. I understand at the level of MBB, WBB, and VB being at one-bid leagues, they will have ups and downs, but the downs we are seeing, are well horrendous, so barely being Mayville, while in an exhibition, is alarming, and rightfully so. The rapid fall should be troublesome.

  2. I feel the same. While the fumble was not the only problem, I understand the issues and complaints people have with what has gone on this fall with Otis. This topped it off for some with what happened earlier this season, then a fumble that leads to a TD when at worst run the ball the three times and take away all their timeouts, give them terrible field possession. Clock management has always been a thorn with this staff. I'll take a five yard delay of game over a timeout in the second half in a tight game, when that timeout can absolutely change the game. I have enjoyed the addition of trick plays, but Saturday's play will always be a head scratcher. Running the football was no issue, so two yards shouldn't be too tall of a task, if they were that concerned, then play-action pass. Why have someone new take a snap, when he has said in the past he needs to work on his catching and ball skills. Taking your first snap in that scenario, no thank you. The missed INT on Missouri State's opening drive turned out to loom large (radio sure made it sound like it would be a pick6). Not taking away a drive, let alone when points are scored, is well tough when the opportunity is missed. While I do think the program is in MUCH better position then it was when Bubba got here and I get keeping him, sooner or later, average can't be good enough after this amount of time. After that being said, I still will be there the next 2 weekends, and very possibly in Brookings to cheer them on.

  3. I don't know what to expect at all with this game. When expectations are there for a good/great season, there is disappointment that follows, also relates to a decent amount of games. This is a game that my expectations are lowered greatly, especially after USD, could see this game going either a tight UND win, or an SIU blowout win, no idea what to expect and don't have much expectations. I could see UND pulling this game off, then in 2015/2018 Idaho state like fashion, losing to Youngstown State or at a better Missouri State game to make up for a big win this weekend.

  4. Something that I thought on that 4th down, what a chance to sneak the TE out quick on play action (4th down play against USD in 2011 that went for a TD), bootleg, or even that jump pass we see every once in a great while. Everyone knew what was coming, try something different and fresh.

Is anyone else worried that the NDSU herd will take over the Alerus and give them the home field advantage or am I the only negative one here.....?

Not alone on that thought. I'm excited for the game, but nervous about how the crowd is split in regards to number of UND to NDSU fans.

  6. Besides 2016 FF, 2012 Semifinal, the 2008 region final comeback against Wisconsin was a very fond memory that me and my dad still talk about to this day. That atmosphere and getting trashed talked and hearing it, that win was very sweet. I've watched the replay of that game so many times, have the play by play memorized of Kozek's goal. Still gives me goosebumps watching the video.

  7. As a student who just graduated in May 2019 and who has been at UND football games since 2000, easily the student section. Being through the hard times of late 2000s and early 2010s, I thought it would get better as the team has become more competitive and shown signs of becoming relevant, but these last few seasons have been very disappointing to me as I can continue to tailgate until almost kickoff and can get a great seat, but even the hockey student section can be disappointing when it isn't a game against Denver or Minnesota.

  8. What I want UND 34 (missed PAT) UC Davis 28.

What i feel like will happen UC Davis 35 UND 21. QB play costs und the game, and ultimately the playoffs. Until the coaching staff is willing to make the change at QB, I don't have much faith. The press conference made me lose all faith that they won't make a change when ketteringham is struggling no matter what unless an injury

  9. Frustrating part to me is that you look at this team and they can and have beaten the best, while losing to the worst. There is hope, but at the same time, it's hard to maintain it. If UND can score more then 2 goals in a game, they are very hard to beat. Now if is the real question. I say they win tonight, and lose tomorrow night. Hope I'm wrong on the latter half, but trying to be realistic.

So you must be expecting us to lose, but what if Western beats CC and Omaha loses to Duluth?

UND has tiebreaker over CC, not sure what scenario is if 4 way tie. If western beats CC and Omaha losses tomorrow and UND gets at least a point, UND hosts. Not sure on all tie breakers.

Yes he was shaky early but really settled in after the first period.  WI did their best to get him off balance, including a WI player hooking his stick and flipping it away into the corner.  It should have been a penalty.  No way it was an accident.  I would expect him to be even more confident and better tonight, now that he has that first game under his belt.  And if UND does their typical better game on Saturday night this could be fun.

We were in the Kohl Center back about 2006 when UND beat WI 3-2 in the NCAA regional championship and the place was rocking.  Last night it was dead in comparison.  Kind of sad for a historic program like WI.

Was there for that regional as well. Besides winning title in '16, the regional one of my greatest hockey memories, the atmosphere was insane, then to come back and win it made it even better. Watching the game last night and seeing the lack of a good crowd was very disappointing.

  12. If these blow out losses continue, injuries aside, something has to change, say UND wins 2 or fewer after tonight, and gets blowout a couple more times, how does change not happen. Obviously not regime change or firing bubba, but something has to be done to avoid this again. Who would've thought our most competitive and most fun game to watch would've been Utah.

No need for that. Can't blame people for that at all. Do I want to travel and invest to watch a bad product? No, I'll stay home get stuff done and watch it on tv. I love UND and UND football but when the product is as bad as today...yikes.

I understand not wanting to go when they are losing, but when fans aren't showing up, that means poor atmosphere, poor atmosphere makes recruiting very difficult. Just my theory and why I always go. And being a hockey fan, I'm used to slow starts to the season.

Good....don't need you.  Finding out who the real fans are.    You are not one of them.

Exactly, been through the best and worst of times. Even now when times are tough, I still go. Nothing annoys me more then fans who only support during the good times.
