stickboy1956 Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 NHL CSS Likes our recruits (A) - Fink, Fienhage, Toews, Kristo (B) - Gleason, Cichy Also, one uncommitted USHL (A) player is Nick Larson, a teammate of Fink's at Waterloo. He played at STA HS last year and had a good state tourny showing. Quote

Also Gleason is build like a college defensman so that B doesn't surprise or scare me. Any take on Mattson? Quote
spfreak Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 Danny Mattson's birthday is November 20th, 1990 which puts him just barely into the 2009 draft, as I believe that the cutoff is sometime in late October of 1990. Quote

Sioux Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 their preliminary rankings come out in nov. too. i noticed that derek lee of salmon arm was listed as a "C" player, but im sure that is due to size, like barriball, duncan, and trupp. Quote
Chris Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 Give me about 15 minutes and I'll post the whole list. It's up, though not very pretty: http://westerncollegehockey.blogspot.com/2...uting-list.html Quote

Sioux Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 Jay Ness is listed as an A player and he is no giant. you mean aaron. yeah, i didnt notice that...id be surprised if a player that size would go in the first 2 rounds though. Quote
siouxnami Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 KO huge note on MacWilliam here. Heisenberg had him at 6'1" (OK) but CSS has him at 6'3" (Sioux "Oak"). I think that is the difference between a quality college player like Zach Jones and a High NHL Draft pick (Smaby). BTW, A indicates rounds 1-2 projected, B mid rounds, and C late rounds maybe. Quote
siouxnami Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 Maybe a typo, but CSS also has Anders Lee to UMD in 08. Quote
siouxnami Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 BTW, it appears there is a CJ Ludwig on the Dallas Stars AAA... I assume this is a son of the UND great? Anyone know? Quote
Chris Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 BTW, it appears there is a CJ Ludwig on the Dallas Stars AAA... I assume this is a son of the UND great? Anyone know? Yes. There is another Ludwig that plays for Western Michigan too. Quote
USA Hockey Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 BTW, it appears there is a CJ Ludwig on the Dallas Stars AAA... I assume this is a son of the UND great? Anyone know? He's played up here a the last few years at the Midget Major tournament. I only watched him in one game last year. Quote
Vegas1 Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 We just recruit overage Candadians, don't we? Ya, those really old 17 year olds like Jonny Toews. Man their getting older all the time those Canucks! Quote

There is no way MacWilliam is 6'3". Who is giving out this information? Take the younger Olsen kid if your looking for a D man. MacWilliam is not WCHA material. Quote
siouxnami Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 Are you the Olsen kid? I have to say that since many of the biggest college programs, NHL CSS, and NHL Teams disagree with you I'm going to go with what they say about MacWilliam... I don't know anything about Olsen, maybe he is all that, maybe not, but based on your comments on MacWilliam, I doubt that you are the source to trust on this one. Quote
