Kristi Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 CNN has been doing a heroes segment featuring inspiring individuals in various categories. Dr. Randy Christensen, the son of a Grenora High School graduate is a nominee in the Medical Marvels category for his work with the Crews'N Healthmobile. This is a 35 foot motor home turned into a medical office that is taken around the Phoenix metro area to bring free medical help to some 5000 homeless teenagers. Online voting for viewers choice in this category is being done through Monday October 15. He is currently in second place and we are asking for your help to take over first place! Normally we wouldn't post on this message board asking for votes but it's a great honor for him and the other volunteers helping to bring medical care to homeless kids in the Phoenix metro area. With his North Dakota ties, we thought Sioux fans would be a great help to get him to #1. Vote here for Dr. Randy Christensen! If you know of anybody else who would vote for him, please send the link to them. Biography "It is very nice to be mentioned with all those out there who really are heroes...I just get to do a job I love." -Quoted in a Phoenix Children's Hospital Press Release announcing his selection as a CNN Hero Awards nominee. Randy Christensen is a doctor in Phoenix and also is the director of the Crews Quote
