PCM
Virg Foss has an an article in today's Herald about the trials and tribulations of Matt Greene. I like the headline so much that I had to use it here.
dagies
I was thinking, reading that article, about Prpich. Mike came in with monster penalty numbers in juniors. Monster. I was one who wondered if this guy would be able to put that behind him and play good hockey. Well, I'm wondering no more. About Greene, I don't get the "toughness" aspect with his penalty numbers. I know the guy can play physical, but these don't strike me as intimidation type penalties. Seems to me he gets a lot of ticky-tack penalties like cross-checks and hookings and trippings. I don't see that (well, maybe the cross-checks) as intimidating the opposition. I see it as putting them at the advantage.
TheSiouxFan
Mr. Greene needs to fight someone to solidify his toughness in the league. We all know he can talk the talk, but can he walk the walk. You gotta make the opponents fear you like Commodore did. "You wanna broken nose like the last guy?"
airmail
You gotta make the opponents fear you like Commodore did. "You wanna broken nose like the last guy?" Oh how we miss him! I agree that many of Greene's penalties are "minor" in nature...he without a doubt has a referee target on him...
