Sioux name/logo plastered all over arena

By building giant Sioux logos out of granite and so forth (I wonder if those are load-bearing logos?) maybe Ralph is just trying make sure it costs too much to change the name.

That would be funny if it cost ฤ million to remove all the logos and names from the arena.

I think Engelstad's intention is to make it too expensive for UND to ever change the name.  I'm beginning to wonder if Ralph isn't trying to make it too expensive for UND to ever take over the operation and maintenance of the new arena.

Who really cares if they are "load bearing" logos?  The name isn't changing, period.

I was surprised to hear about the new 'blackhawk' logo coming back. (ive been out of circulation ofr quite a while )  

I like it. DO they still do that cheesy speech about the sioux Indians before evey game?  I think that is silly.  I can't see why the Native Americans are offended when we are smart about it, and use the likeness in respect, and out of honour....  I have a lot of German heritage in me, and ... well... I guess thats not quite the same...

Just think how much it would cost if we were changing the state name!  University of Dakota instead of UND!  I really hope this is dead in the political arena.
