Examples would be recognized articles or studies as opposed to "I really feel we are better because its in Fargo vs Grand Forks, and vice-versa". NanoBison Posted July 23, 2006 Share Posted July 23, 2006 I don't think you're going to be able to make a correlation like that. I certainly don't believe it helps academics. The only benefit I see from athletics, is more recognition for a school nationally, which in turn might add a small amount of value to a students diploma (in terms of recognition of coming from a specific school with a reputation). It may also booster support from community/fans/alumni/donors in terms of donations. Other than that, I don't see to much else. Just my 2 cents.
