Local Boy Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 The lone survivor of the Sago coal mine was wearing a UND Sioux hat at today's press conference. Anybody know of a connection there? It was a very brief appearance. Below is a link with a photo. Somebody send that man a grinder and some chippers! http://www.abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory?id=1785960 Just curious. Quote
Local Boy Posted March 30, 2006 Author Posted March 30, 2006 Oops...me again. The article says it's Notre Dame hat. I tried to zoom in but the resolution got bad. It was hard to tell on the TV also. Maybe it says Irish below UND. Probably. Quote
NDSU grad Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 The first thing I thought off when I saw the picture was "why would a guy from WV be wearing a Sioux hat". Then I clicked on the picture to enlarge it (apparently I was that intrigued) and saw it was a Notre Dame hat. At least I wasn't the only one who thought that. Quote
Siouxmama Posted April 22, 2006 Posted April 22, 2006 I just saw this topic, read it all the way through, but just had to find out for myself. I was able to blow the picture up enough to see what it said under the "ND". It says "IRISH". Just had to see it myself. Quote
