I was watching on YouTube 3ICE, Cam's team won the mini tournament that day. I don't care for 3 on 3 hockey, but they actually have rules that make it worth watching. Only faceoff is to start each half (2 periods total). Powerplays are penalty shots where the shooter gets a head start. The only change I'd make is length of the periods from 8 minutes to 10 minutes. Can't ice the puck or a penalty. 

As I watching the CEO EJ Johnson talked about how they were going to do 3 on 3 for kids (13 under) that would be like a hockey version of the Little League in baseball. 16 North America teams and 16 International teams.

Now the hear me out part: I could see EJ Johnson trying to bring this to college hockey as a summer league. A way to have NCAA and ACHA teams play each other. NCAA teams having one of their assistant coaches coaching a 7-player team where the #3 goalie being the goalie. They already have a 3ICE World Cup and now a 3ICE Kids so I could see a 3ICE College. I think it would be interesting if it ever happens.
