JESUS,family, rutgers Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 At 3-1, we are off to our best start since 1992. For those who can't make the Fighting Sioux game this Saturday, an early game on TV is West Virginia at Rutgers on MSG Network at 12 Eastern/ 11 Central. This one will be VERY tough for us to come out with a W. GO FIGHTING SIOUX! GO SCARLET KNIGHTS! Quote
JESUS,family, rutgers Posted October 8, 2005 Author Posted October 8, 2005 Final Score-- West Virginia 27 Rutgers 14 We could have used UND's dome today. It rained the whole game. Except for poor special teams play, a pretty good showing considering a few years ago we lost to WVU 80-7. Yes, 80-7. Quote
Smoggy Posted October 8, 2005 Posted October 8, 2005 I was watching the Delaware game today. Their field was a swamp! Quote
JESUS,family, rutgers Posted October 9, 2005 Author Posted October 9, 2005 Hello Smoggy, Last year, we installed a synthetic surface called Field Turf here at Rutgers Stadium. Even though I prefer grass, most years our field was all chewed up by November 5 or so. Field Turf is a huge improvement over the old Astro-Turf and it looks a lot more like grass. When we had grass, we could have a few high school state playoffs but now we have three days of high school games which brings in hundreds of players and tens of thousands of fans. For many, it is the first time they have been on campus and seen the stadium. Quote
