siouxrunner Posted September 15, 2005 Share Posted September 15, 2005 On Friday at 4:00 at Ray Richards Golf Course in Grand Forks, the Ron Pynn Invitational Cross Country meet will begin with the women's race. The men will follow at 4:45. For those of you who are in town and love to watch the Fighting Sioux, come out and support two of the hardest working teams on campus. This will be the first meet of the year for the Sioux harriers, as their meet last week was cancelled due to weather. The UND course is one of the most fan friendly there is, with the runners snaking across the golf course up one fairway and down the next. It should be a good test for the Sioux, with some strong teams coming in to compete. We have some local athletes on both teams, like Richie Spitsberg and Jeremy Jones on the men's side and Jessie Lichter on the women's side. Also, for those who aren't aware, the Fighting Sioux will be hosting the NCC Championship, on the same course, later in the year (Oct 22). siouxrunner Posted September 21, 2005 Author Share Posted September 21, 2005 After a strong showing in her first meet of the year, Margaret Landberg was awarded the NCC Cross Country runner of the week.
