Goalie Karma

It is time that we come up with some sort of VooDoo karma thing for the goalies that face the Sioux. Almost every opposing goalie that have started against us, this year, have had a career night. I have never seen anything like it! I can't remember the last goalie that had a poor performance against the Sioux. I think over the last 1 1/2 years you can count on one hand the number of poor performances by opposing team goalies.

Absolutely, even the Canisius goalies were the stars for their team vs the Sioux. Have we chased any goalies from the game other than at MTU this year?

Well, the Sioux did get SCSU to replace Tim Boron with Jason Montgomery, but only because Chris Porter's slapper split open Boron's thumb. (Ouch!) Cam Ellsworth, MTU's hero against Denver, was replaced when he gave up three goals against the Sioux in the first period in Houghton. Josh Johnson replaced Isaac Reichmuth in Duluth in the Friday night game.

Other than that, it hasn't happened very often this season.

My friends and I had a little hex we'd put on goalies. It worked a few times but we must have overused it as the hockey gods have been ignoring it. Basically you remind the goalie that he has a shutout going, may never give up another goal, reminds you of the great wall of china, will probably sign a pro contract immediately after the game, blah blah blah. It resulted in a few timely goals but has been pretty anemic when called upon as of late.
