Popular Post Brian Shaughnessy
I recently authored a book to commemorate the 75-year anniversary of the first NCAA hockey tournament. Titled Frozen in Time: A History of the U.S. Men's College Ice Hockey Championship, the book features over 200 photographs of past college hockey greats and in-depth recaps of every national tournament played to date, including lengthy chapters on all eight of North Dakota's title-winning seasons. UND Athletics generously donated dozens of photos for the book, and Sports Illustrated also provided several rare photographs of past Frozen Fours. All proceeds from the sale of the book will benefit the non-profit Matt Brown Foundation, a 501(c)(3) that provides equipment and other assistance to individuals living with serious spinal cord injuries. Matt was a high school hockey player from Massachusetts who became paralyzed from the shoulders down when he was checked into the boards during a game in 2010. Matt has gone on to obtain his college degree, author a book, and become a noted motivational speaker. Frozen in Time: A History of the U.S. Men's College Ice Hockey Championship just became available for purchase on Amazon. I am covering the shipping costs for all customers. From Reg Morelli's overtime-winner in the '59 title game at the RPI Field House to the unstoppable "CBS Line" delivering UND its eighth title in 2016 in Tampa, my book is a must-have for all UND Hockey fans! Thank you very much, and feel free to contact me with any questions or feedback. You can read more about the book through yesterday's article that appeared on U.S. College Hockey Online. Brian W.
