MafiaMan Posted October 5, 2004 Posted October 5, 2004 While browsing thru this site, I happened upon the pics of the Sioux Sports/POI hockey game held the past couple of winters. For those NoDak transplants like me who never got to know the sport of hockey until arriving on the UND campus, broomball has become an alternative. I've played since 1988 and now manage one of the top men's teams in St Paul and co-rec teams in the Roseville area. Just curious if there are any other players on the board who might be interested in a little grudge match with POI. I could probably even book a ref for a Saturday morning/afternoon game this winter at a location fairly central in the metro area of Mpls/St Paul. Any interest? Quote
forecheck Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 I think it sounds fun. As long as all the ligaments that I tore in my knee at Springfest last May don't get reinjured. Quote

MafiaMan Posted October 6, 2004 Author Posted October 6, 2004 Basil, Last time I checked...broomball is played on the ice. Stop on out and see some of our men's leagues in St Paul sometime. Pretty intense competition. One of my players is still under suspension for a fight in last year's playoffs. Stupid penalty and a bad time for him to get ejected. I call him "Matt Greene" as a joke. dagies Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 I'd be interested depending on when it is. However, last time I played was back at UND with the Hrkac Circus. Quote
