sprig
Does ticketmaster run REA box office sales also? Are all the extra charges (convenience, building, etc) that are charged online also charged if one goes to the REA for tickets? Just a question for the future, I've already been dinged by ticketmaster for this year. Also noted there are ticketmaster outlets around GF, as well as a ticketmaster phone. Do these also add on all the charges that are added online?
jloos
Usually when you buy the tickets from the venue box office there is no ticketmaster "convenience charge" but there is still the facility charge. So you save yourself roughly a 10% of the ticket value "convenience charge" by buying them from the venue. At least this is how it used to be. redwing77
Sometimes I wonder if it would be nicer if Ticketbastard would run the REA box office. Sure, you'll pay a lot more for those tickets, but at least you won't be standing in lines for over an hour while only half of the windows are open to serve the 50+ people waiting. I've remembered going to a WOMEN'S hockey game, waiting in line for tickets. Yeah, I got there an hour before the game started and, thanks to my earliness, I only missed the first half of the player intros by the time I got into the arena. The best part of it was that I was in line to get one of those free tickets because I was a student. I don't know if they still do this at the womens games, but the one I went to I believe was the home opener against UConn last year.
