In the Fargo Forum today it syas that the Bison and Jackrabbits will now compete for a traveling trophy. I believe the reasoning for this is that they realize that UND will hold onto the Nickel for a long period of time now. I think NDSU is using this for a way to make all 12 of their fans forget about losing the Nickel so much recently.

It's NDSU's way of creating something that just isn't there. They need to play for some trophy as soon as possible because they really miss the nickel. Poor SDSU, they better get a good look at what the trophy will be because they will never see for awhile. Great rivalry Biiissson. I'm watching ESPN but I don't see the naming of the border battle trophy being covered. Shame on you ESPN.

I am sure UND has to run out and make up some new imaginary trophy to play for to replace the Nickel also, to make themselves fell better when there are no conference titles or playoffs to play for. No, I guess that is NDSU. Oh, wait how did I forget about the GWFC, which is a bunch of D2 teams that feel better about themselves and thump their chests because they are D1 now even though they are playing the same teams still.

79 of the current Divison I schools are former Division II schools.
