radionews
A lot of discussion on the "Minnesota Rule" and the Sioux playing Friday afternoon but what do you think about this: Does it make a difference for a team to play in the afternoon when all season they play at night? I say it's the playoffs and they should ( and will) be ready to go but i amagine somethings change as to when they eat, wake up, etc.......thoughts anyone? The only difference it makes, is that the UND game will not be shown on tv.
morley
The main difference is for the two teams that are in the Thursday night play-in game. If MN is in the Thursday night play-in and win then they don't play until Friday night. But if MN is a 2 or 3 seed then the play-in game winner plays Friday afternoon. This year it helps UND cause the winner of the play-in gets less rest then normal. I just don't think that it is fair to change when the games are played depending on who is playing in them. I realize that they will sell more tickets for a Friday night goofer game than they will for a Friday afternoon one, but it's not fair to the other teams.
