sioux fan in phoenix Posted September 15, 2003 Posted September 15, 2003 I really think that the only way we are going to be competitors is if we play good defensive and smart hockey. Keep the powerplay unit on the ice and the penalty kill unit off of the ice. Limit chances and make scoring opportunities count. I don't think I'll find anyone who will argue with this.... .... and I'll stop there. Don't want to start anything or say anything I might regret. Are you related to Jimmy the Greek? Just joking. To be competitors we'll probably have to do very well in all aspects. Hope the guys have the fire in their bellies this year. Quote
NewGuy Posted September 16, 2003 Posted September 16, 2003 Fixed your post. You're welcome. I'm not a Gopher fan, but rather a realistic Sioux fan. Realistic is thinking that Massen is ready for a big year. He has been quite impressive at times during his first two years. Realistic is thinking that the Sioux will have a rock solid defensive group. Realistic is thinking that Parise/Murray/Bochenski will put up similar numbers to the line of fire if paired together. I don't think that Genoway or Canady getting 10 goals is realistic. The only thing that we need is a goalie to step up, the other pieces are in place. Quote
