I don't think Ben Blood has taken Dave Hackstol's "How to talk to the media" class yet. He sounded soooooooo nervous

Clearly Gwoz & Jutting missed some talent.
Lucia could have used a playmate for Shack too.

Look at all the fights going on at the DU/UW game!!
Must be a TON of Sioux fans in attendance.
I've been switching around between a bunch of games - were there really any fights?

I love these guys, but they just do not have "it". Looks like we got ourselves a rebuilding year - guess you've got to have one of those every several years or so.
You know what is really scary, if this is a rebuilding year, I'm afraid of next year. We have 8 seniors this year and next year we will have 3 seniors and 6 juniors for a total of 9 upperclassmen (that is if nobody leaves early). If this year continues as it is currently going we're probably going to have a couple of years where we will have to just have to remember "We Love Our Sioux - NO MATTER WHAT" (kind of like parents of teenage kids )

Well that was quite the embarassing weekend. Losing to the last two teams in the country back to back. OUCH!!!! Wasn't able to watch, but sounded on the radio like they just DID NOT play well. 2 goals on the weekend? What happened to the team that had 24 goals in the last 4 games? Got a feeling there's going to be some "intense" practices this week.

Would anyone here have a problem with them hitting the net and not "whistling that just wide". By the way I wouldn't have a problem with a shorty right now.
-
looks like lerg has found his swagger. we're f@@@ed. we will not score 3 on this guy tonight
I wonder if Lerg is still ticked about the 6 we hung on him at the start of last season? He may think he has a score to settle.

How was your trip? Did you enjoy the games? Hope you survived the blizzard.

Kozek please

How are those green glasses working for you.
Bout as well as the maroon ones worked for you guys last week.
-
I'm trying really hard to make some sense of this and the only thing I can think of is that the guys want to come back so bad next year that they are playing the worst game they've ever played so their pro teams won't sign them.
-
I am going down with them, too. But I am gonna bitch the whole way to the bottom.
I'll be with them to the bottom of the sea, but I'm going to bitch right along with you all the way down. Now take this with a grain of salt because I'm really frustrated right now, but just getting to the frozen four every year IS NOT ENOUGH!! At some point you've got to get it right and WIN!!! I'm trying real hard to remember the 1st Denver game when the Pios got real oportunistic and went up 4-1 on us and we came back. It can be done, but not the way they are playing right now.
-
I hope they can start burying some of those PP chances. They controlled the play so well - reminds me of the two 5-3 PPs against Denver.

OK Boys and Girls - HERE WE GO!!!

Parise is a wild man tonight. Had an assist on NJ goal by coraling the puck away from two Rangers and passing the puck to Elias all the while on his stomach. He's then had two wicked shifts - no goals, but if he keeps playing this way he will.

Found this over on NHL.com
http://www.nhl.com/nhl/app?articleid=35901...mp;service=page
NHL.com comment: A very heated post-season rivalry, indeed, with three straight exit signs put on North Dakota's season by BC. They also alternated national championships, in 2000 and '01. No team in college hockey plays a more exciting style than North Dakota. The Sioux are led up front by T.J. Oshie, Ryan Duncan and Chris VandeVelde; their up-tempo style begins with the best defensive complement in the country in Chay Genoway, Taylor Chorney, Joe Finley and Robbie Bina. Senior goalie Jean-Philippe Lamoureux saw almost 90 shots last weekend in both regional games. The Sioux punched a return ticket with Andrew Kozek's OT goal against the Badgers.Liked the props they gave to the D.

Nashville just eliminated Chicago from the playoffs. I wonder if Toews will come to Denver for Frozen Four since he won't be playing.
-
Wandering through the AHL websites and ran across some stuff on Karl. After a rough 1st half, he looks like he has settled back in in Syracuse and has had a great month of March.
-
Oh, and there's an article on NHL.com about Chicago's James Wisniewski. He's the resident prankster for the Blackhawks and recently got caught drawing whipped cream hearts all over Toews' new SUV.
They had video of that on the Blackhawks game last night - it was hilarious.

Not a WCHA player, but another one bites the dust.
Maine freshman forward Andrew Sweetland signed an entry level contract with the NHL's Florida Panthers.

Bina the goalie slayer...
Even though it has to do with a gopher, I like that sign. Would be nice if you could work it and have it make sense without the gopher reference since they aint there.

No "official" word on Trupper?
-
Hak seems enamored with Miller because he must do very well in practice, so perhaps the freshman sits.
I know that Hak always says "you earn your playing spot in practice", but at some point shouldn't that translate over into game play? Not to rag on Miller, and I know I'm not the best hockey mind out there, and there probably is a lot that Miller is doing that I don't see, but I honestly haven't "seen" what Hak does to justify Miller on that top line.
Who sits with Trupper back in I don't know - I do know I really like Radke in there, there are just so many intangibles that he brings.
