What basketball game?  There aren't any on Saturday.  Priority tickets will be given at the football game.

Haven't seen it but would guess Fridays priority tickets will be at the basketball doubleheader

My bad it's actually volleyball. Here's the relevant part from NodakNation

Any lineup before 10 AM should start at the entrance  of the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center. Students will need to pick up a priority line ticket at the UND Volleyball game vs Northern Colorado. Doors open at 10 AM and the game starts at 11:00 AM.  Priority line tickets will be available at the NoDak Nation table after the initial rush.

Priority line tickets will be available until 11:15 AM. After 11:15 AM all priority line tickets will be given out to students at the entrance of the UND Football game. Student doors at UND Football open 11:50 AM.

To be valid, you will need to get two stamps. One stamp will be given at the UND Volleyball game starting at Noon. In addition, student shuttles from Volleyball to Football will leave at Noon and 12:20 PM. A second stamp will be given at the conclusion of the UND Football game at the NoDak Naiton table.

There will be more season ticket holders next year, winning fuels that! Rebuilding a fan base takes lots of work. Home FB playoff game and win would be BIG. Road win in Fargo Dome would be HUGE.  Sooner or later, somebody going to knock them off their throne, I'd just as soon have it be UND!

Students need to step up this Saturday, they really need to do much better than 2 weeks ago.

The general public is slowing getting more involved, maybe they surprise us a little?

Don't expect much at the tailgate. If we want priority tickets for the hockey game, we need to go to the basketball game before hand and stay till 12 - only one hour before kickoff. I personally think this was a mistake, but my opinion doesn't matter much.

Any O-Line injury updates? Or other position updates? Rich, Stanley?

I've Been seeing Stanley around campus. Two weeks ago, he had two crutches, last week - one, and this week had none.

I'm curious as to how many Canadians come down for und fb. Seems like it would be a good area to market the program. Maybe make Brady O the face of it

Huh, guess I never thought about that. Does UofMantioba have any American/Canadian Football teams?

$60.75 * 12 credits = $730 per semester or $1,460 per year (assuming no summer school).  5 years to graduate and you're at $7,300.  Not that great a bargain.

And for most majors, you wouldn't be able to be done with 12 credits a semester in 5. I'm in 22 this semester just to stay current.

Maybe we could fully fund all of our sports scholarships if we quit giving away free tution to a fan at some of our sports.  I think this decision reveals that we will be switching conferences and the leadership believes that their will be enough cost savings to cover the deficeit.  They also identified was to raise aditional revenue (increase ticket prices, renegoitate contracts, etc.), I call that a win win.

Keep in mind if we cut Swim and Dive, Softball, Soccer, thats close to 100 students, most of who are on partial scholarship.  I don't think that would help the university overall..

That only works if attendance doesn't drop because of the raise. I think at best it would stagnate, but I have a feeling attendance would drop. And again with negotiations, can we really renegotiate a deal that actually makes a difference to us, or does it just become drops of water?

  7. I'm not sure how Kennedy will avoid this topic in the future. This seems to be a completely poor sighted and unsustainable model now, but to try the Kelly method of raising revenue is a poor decision.

All of this is contingent in the third parties agreeing. As a student, academics should always come first; so no siphoning money away from there. While I personally don't have a problem with increasing student fees, I can see why other students might not be big on it, and should be avoided. On the ticket prices, good luck. We have trouble with attendance in every sport but hockey and raising the price will make it even worse. I don't know the details on the Ralph's and A's contract with UND ,but I have to imagine it's already pretty UND-friendly contract, so to ask for more is almost insulting ( I bet.)

Either something has been hidden from us or the university is going to be struggling financially for the foreseeable future, as to expect all of this to happen to plan is nothing more than false hope. I had hope Kennedy would manage this right, but wow was I wrong.

  8. Didn't Reyes go out in the game against them last year too, or was it just Studs?
If we can get him back, I'd feel confident in our secondary to hold them to a limited production. We should dominate the TOP as it seems we have been able to "diversify" the offense and not just use our rushing attack. I fully expect a blowout as we get revenge for last year. 55-17 UND

Does that band ever play In Heaven There Is No Beer at the Alerus?

They did a little bit last year, haven't yet this one. But I dont think there was any method for it when they did it last year vs after every goal.
