What real teams are capable of of doing vs average teams.  Offensively...  E wash has scored more in 8 mins than und did all game vs port st.

Why do you care about fake team like UND? Everything you type is just a joy. Find something you enjoy and don’t buzz kill the board for the rest of us.

  2. Kett is a good QB. He didn’t allow 35 points to a poorly ranked WSU offense. I have seen many long passes that were right on the money. I haven’t seen that type of success or back shoulder completions for years.

Nobody would be saying anything if UND hadn’t lost last Saturday.

  3. I think if Tanner P is healthy for this game that we probably win.

Tanner is fast, defensive speed has been mentioned a lot as far as why the defense failed. Depth is a huge issue for this team. It's getting better but it still lacks.

WSU was 8-16 on 3rd downs. I think Tanner would have been a difference maker on at least 2 of these 8 conversions and that could have tilted the game in UNDs favor.

  4. You can twist this all you want. The defense allowed 35 points to a poorly ranked offense. Your numbers above prove ISU has abetter offense than Weber and Weber has a better defense than ISU. Again, what's your point?

    Accept it and move on.

The season is not lost, the team has a real chance to make the playoffs.

The UND offense averaged four points a quarter.

A UND defensive player had to score a TD for UND to keep the game close.

Did you do the math on the defense? 8 points a quarter.

So, the defense gets credit for good special teams plays?

    BTW, what's your point?

So Montana gets crushed .   What would the selection committee see in und to send them to the playoffs?

They probably don’t see anything. UND Should probably fold up the football program. They lost today so what’s the point?

Would any one be up for a game at the new Allianz field in St Paul for the MLS team ?  Know NDSU has a Target field date with Butler next year.  A US Bank game would be much better, as well as a game against Minny at the TCF Bank Stadium would seem much more appealing.  But with a new smaller venue soon to be open, possibilities abound.

I can't believe Fleck would agree to a game anywhere against NDSU. They would almost certainly lose.

The biggest factor in NDSU's success is the refusal of Gopher football coaches(starting with Brewster in 2007) to appreciate MN and other regional talent. This allowed the Bison to accumulate a very high level of talent. Credit the Bison for grabbing that opportunity and building "the" FCS Football Program in the country.

    Just my opinion.

Brady Leach has kicked 38 kickoffs and has only forced 2 touch backs..... F!

I know Taubenheim was directed to have his kickoffs come up short of the end zone. They think that they can stop the returners from getting to the 25 and they almost always do. I would bet Leach is under the same orders to kick it to the 5 and close to the sideline.

waletzo will be starting at right tackle for the rest of the year either this week or next.  what happens with helgren, aplin, russo, and ngyuon is another subject

    Who is starting LG?

Curious because I didn’t notice. Were any of our receivers getting open? If kett would have had a little more time were there open receivers to throw to? Did kett miss open receivers?

    thanks

I didn’t notice Receivers getting open much but that shouldn’t matter. It appears to me that other teams can execute long pass plays in 2 different ways. The back shoulder throw and timing routes happen to our D all game long and they are almost impossible to defend. ( correct me if I’m wrong Gundy)

I don’t recall seeing any of those plays by our offense at UW.

The game was competitive and a lot of fun until 2 of our defensive starters left especially #40. Anybody know how his hamstring is?

My take on the last game is our starters were competitive with their starters but depth determined the final score. They completed many long passes especially on 3rd down that we could not execute when we were on offense.

The team probably is not that down because most of them were able to handle and even win their individual battles.

If #40 is out for SHSU it will be a long day on defense.

You figured you'd take the odds with your criticism; that does work most of the time. I'm not going to respond with a lecture, although it sounds you would like one. There are multiple factors at play here, and the sports medicine staff is certainly only a component of everything. Do you think medical assessments and plans are not variable, and thus, susceptible to error? Well, they are. It's possible such error occurred. It wouldn't be the first time and it won't be the last. I won't disclose any personal details, but make sure you are willing to consider all possibilities before you initiate personal criticism. My criticism was directed at the entire unit being UND football, which includes the sports medicine staff. If you want to defend them, so be it, but the results of this season warrant some questioning. I'm disappointed, but not surprised, someone who uses a pedestal on here so frequently would move to personal subjection on a UND athletics forum. If this was a medical forum, I'd be pleased to teach you something, Ira.

Let's see where today and the rest of the season goes. My support won't waiver. I'm just disappointed as well as loyal to a fault.

    Go UND

Find something that makes you happy and do it today.

with demon out whose the starting 5...stockwell, aplin, rooney, tobin, cox?

The same as last Saturday. Demon did not start. Tobin at LG and Aplin at RG.

  13. Bubba has a great young team with a lot more depth than we have seen in a while. The only injuries that would truly hurt us would be Studsrud and Reyes. Stockwell is the best o-lineman.

    Good to know... thanks.

If you don't think playing the best Fcs team in the country and having the game on the most TV's posable is good for your program.  than your program is destined to fail.

I'm sure the Bison fans cringe when they see your posts. They would like you to get off their side now......Look at your post!!!.... You are not intelligent.

Quit acting like you are already equals. ..and it might.  81 and 6> one nice season...

Quit acting like you have had something to do with that success.

  16. I was at the NAU game and I am concerned. Immediately after the game, the BSC Championship was celebrated and justly so. It was a thrilling game that had me hugging strangers and it wasn't wierd! My concern is the celebration struck me as though the team had achieved its ultimate goal. I hope I'm reading this wrong and these guys are still hungry for more wins.
