Point well taken. No excuse for not paying attention to detail. I down voted the post even though I agreed. I’m probably in a minority here, but there may have been a better way to express your opinion to a players Mom.

Thanks Ira but I am a Grandma. I know your profession so you can understand how his neck could have been broken. I shuddered but in thankfulness every time I watched it. He studied PreMed so carried a full load, and attaining Magna was pretty remarkable. I’m not proud or anything, just sayin.

  2. As many of you may remember I am Luke Fiedler’s Grandmama. My question is: in the latest Roster he is correctly listed as a Senior but his STATS are for 2017. Why? He played his last year but got a broken arm in the second to last game which BTW was because he was face masked on both sides. The refs never saw it but we are thankful to the Lord that his neck wasn’t broken. I have watched that play a dozen times. Wish I could see it in slo-mo. Remember how hard he was to stop? I sure miss watching him.    Oh and BTW he graduated Magna.

That sucks. Typical play for him requiring 14 defensers to take him down.

Yes, so true. Remember in 2016 there were 2 games when he was not brought down. He is so tall defenders really have to bring out the whole team to stop him. BTW he is a fraction of an inch under 6’6”. They dared not use that tho. Reading stats of NFL where they listed height almost down to 1/8 inch. This Is bad but it could have been much worse. The right hand comes in pretty handy most of the time. So many nice comments. He is a nice kid and liked by all. Did ya all know he had a Bar-B-Q at his house a few weeks ago with all the Tight Ends including the Newbies. They loved talking w/ an Upper Classman.

I'm kind of glad Puto TV isn't  working...I'd be embarrassed for the two NDSU guys I'm with to watch this game, I'm listening on head phones.   Unless we start rolling them in second half.....this is not a good showing at all for a team fighting to make the playoffs.

I got a hint that worked about Pluto from the other grandson. Go back to the Pluto game List on the Left and Click up 1 selection and then back to the correct one. It worked and have been able to watch the rest of the game.

  5. Luke Fiedler, my Thor. Gonna miss you. Would have loved to re-see those plays where it took 7 defense to try and pull you down but they succeeded not. But the pancakes were awesome. Did you serve syrup to them on their back? Love ya kid.  Grandma.

The true pro-style run-orientated offenses are rare now in college football. They do still exist though; look no further than NDSU, University of Wisconsin, and University of Iowa.

You can either watch their games or look up the stats; either way, you'll see a ton of catches by the halfbacks, fullbacks, and tight ends.

I don't know what Rudolph is doing, but it isn't winning conventional football. Its a "Rudolph offense" because no one in their right mind would copy it and run it.

The defense knows our play as well as he knows “Old McDonald had a Farm.”

Agreed! TE's only having 7-8 catches each a season is not acceptable with the talent they have. After the 1st game when Luke had 4 catches I thought the narrative would change? Need to quit calling this a pro-style offense.

I watched part of the Panther/Buccaneer game and saw a pass to the Tight End on the 1st Down. That’s what a sneak play can do.

I've said this before, as others have as well, but I really feel a change should be considered at the top of the strength and conditioning program.  Or at least put someone else in charge of the football team whose S&C program might be more football specific rather than for World's Strongest Man competitions.

Not trying to place the entire blame on injuries, they are part of football, but guys were dropping like flies again yesterday.  Things like pulling a hamstring can be directly related to conditioning right?

Honestly, after special teams I have felt for a while that S&C might be the biggest liability of this program right now.

Good Post . Idaho didn’t have any injuries. Perhaps the above explains why.

Ya, Luke had the 4 catches and was thinking the QB might start looking their way this year.  He had a couple catches the next 2 games and then it dried up. Cloyd got a couple following those games till the Sac game and finally found him for a TD.  Then Luke the last game on the QB scramble. I've been baffled since day one on why they don't use Luke and Cloyd more? They are open often during the games just seems the QB stares down the receivers or forces the throws instead of looking to the other routes/options for a play. These two have great  hands and need to be utilized more. Again, pro-style offense as most call it does not hold water.

This is becoming more and more obvious to me a novice of football plays. Studs and Kett have gotten their marching orders from Coach. Do not variate. Otherwise how could the both of them play the same way? A good Qb is quick to scope the field and use his arm as it was intended. I have watched enough NFL to see how Tight Ends are utilized. Also Eastern colleges do the same. But here in the Mid West. Oh no, heaven forbid.

Well I wasn’t at the Idaho game... thanks... and my husband helped me staple these skirts to the 2 tables”What are those extra ones for?”  Well, well I may need extras..... oh well. The first half of the game really kept my attention and I cut 13 yards of fabric not 6.5....I never even try to sew and watch hockey...

    So, two questions:

    1) did I imagine a QB sac or two and

    2) did we ( should havecor not) play 2 deep in this game

I didn’t see any sacs. I lost so many plays with Pluto constantly having to be rebooted. Could have, maybe someone else saw what I didn’t.

Well certainly the first half was better than the second, IMHO. Defense will get tired.... get tired after all that time on the field in the second half.... don’t know enough to recognize if we played 2 deep ( or even should have) for the defense.

Glad I watched the game.... there were some good plays but I really need to quit sewing when doing so... my math was off and I now have 4 pleated tablecloths not the 2 I needed....

I love good defense, in any sport, and didn’t we have some good QB sacks? Love them....

on to the next game.... stay positive and focused and learn from the mistakes!

You are so funny. Wish I could have met you personally when I was up there for that hideous Idaho St game.

  12. I tried to start a new Topic but it keeps bringing me back here. Anyway to get Midco for today’s Weber game looks like I have to buy or install  pkg, no? Just want to watch this game. Any help out here? Thanks
