No not a relative just stand up for the players when some guy or female forum poster decides to smack talk. I never started out posting on here with smack i simply asked a question.

I am not arguing your point of your RSF completing passes in long down situations. But you cannot compare apples and oranges. Take a look at your recievers versus SDSU. I am not making excuses Sumner should have been better and can be better thats not my argument. My point is that you cannot put your team in a situation regardless of who you are playing to throw 90% of your passes only on 3rd downs.

Sarcasm is fine but at the same time like an above poster said you didnt play toe to toe with SDSU. Thats fine if Sumner went 9-21 but in all reality there were two bad balls thrown and 4 dropped balls. You can say what you would like about him that is your right but at the same time I dont need to defend anyone on a forum becasue I am sure they will let their playing and winning do the talking. If you would watch the game over again they threw a total of three times on first or second down the other 18 pases were in long down opportunities.

You could probably play for the wolves they are pretty bad.

You can come up with all the reasons in the world of what happened or didnt happen. Fact is you cant throw on third down only and be conservative when leading. If the coaches at state had any guts to keep the pedal down you would have been blown out! Instead we let you back in. Not because of our pass game but becasue we stopped doing what we should have. Again throw only on third down and see how far that gets you, maybe throw on first or second with a play-action pass.

I could not tell you what round and will not predict one. I am basing that comment off of what the draft experts are saying on various websites including espn.

Hahaha Sioux83 you crack me up. I can imagine you were a division 1 quarterback werent you. Did you watch the same game as me or a different one? We ran it down your throats and therefore there was never a rhythm between the quarterback Sumner and our receivers. He had one throw that was bad the other incompletions came courtesy of four dropped balls and good defense. You have no idea what it takes to play college football nor probably never will and that is okay. Kind of diffiicult when you only throw on 3rd and 9 or 3rd and ten isnt it? Or am I being unrealistic by that as well? You can jab back at me if you choose thats your choice but we will see who is right and wrong come draft day:)

Still has a full year left along with the rest of this year after one game so we shall see huh.

I am not underrating Zenner at all..but you have to look at the year previous to Zenner and what Sumner accomplished..yes he did have better receievers but I believe this years receivers core are going to impress some people. And Tyrel Kool was listed as a running back but that was after he was previously a wide receiever the first two three years.

Know all about Sumner...far from....wrote what anyone can read in the paper...UND is a sub-par team and I get your a fan of them but be realistic...and are you a surgeon now that you know all the specefics of what they did to his thumb? Huh...Why dont you go try throwing a football or gripping a hammer...or doing that thing you enjoy doing so much with torn ligaments in your thumb...your obviously ignorant to the situation.

If UND gets an early lead and the game turns into a wide open passing game, advantage UND. This was just one of the posts...there was another on the first page....If I was a sdsu fan I would take that anyday becasue I dont believe UND has the defense to stop the passing game of state regardless if states run is working or not...and you have to throw Rapals's out right away dont you.

Not a fan of either just like to read all of the different forums out there....but in all reality if it comes down to a passing contest there is no way UND can hang. But to each their own as they say.

It just boggles my mind how people on this thread state “if this gets into a passing war I give the edge to UND”. I guess I am just a curious person, but what makes you come to that conclusion? Do you not recall the year previous to Zenner? Do you not recall that Sumner was the freshman of the year in MVC and set the record for passing yards? Just boggles my mind that many of you have stated their passing game is just okay. Last year he may have had a downfall but who wouldn’t with torn ligaments in their throwing hand, he had one ligament left attaching part of the thumb? If you do a little research it is stated “that not many quarterbacks are comparable to Sumner in the FCS….and or FBS”…Not sure if you have seen him play but he has the smarts, technique, and arm to punish teams…and that’s just a bonus with the beast Zenner in the backfield.
