  1. They are mere sample of UND alumni who played for the greatest college hockey program in America and went on to play in the NHL.

Chet, you must be lost. This is a UND Hockey board. Either that, you are dumbest guy to post on this board ever. Either way bye bye, you are ignored. Congrats, after 14 years of posting on this website, you are my first.

Haha you want to grab a beer?
  2. Chet, quoting someone's post and putting your comments afterwards can't be that difficult, can it?

Makes it soooo much easier for the reader.

Again on the phone, sorry. Meant to say afterwards I agreed with the first part, but the 2nd, phew.... I think he's lost
  3. I thought Michigan and Wisconsin were now Minnesota's biggest rivals? Could fool me with all the empty seats during these big time rivalry games.

I hope there are as many available seats when UND goes to the Mooch when the teams resume playing in the regular season.[/quote

Haha there is the old we fill our rink more than they do.

  4. At one time a lot of people said the youngest was the best of the Brodzinski's and I believe he is the youngest but he hasn't produced at the level Johnny did as a forward.

There's one more after Easton. Bryce is playing for Blaines Bantam AA(8 grade) and some think he has the most potential, but who knows.
  5. It is 315 miles from Grand Forks to St. Paul. It is 508 miles from Minneapolis to South Bend, IN. Sioux fans inundate the Xcel Energy Center when a regional is held there. That is not local. It is only about 3 hours further from Minneapolis to South Bend, but Gopher fans can't be expected to show up? There is something more to it than cost, since it is only about one tank of gas difference round trip between the two sites.

I would imagine quite a few North Dakota fans live in or around the TC area.
  6. John Peterson is one that surprises me that hasn't committed anywhere yet.

He seems like a Danny Mattson type. Good player, would probably be a 3/4 line guy on a good college team. Probably better opportunity at a BSU or Mankato
  7. Nope, shortbusguy was correct with using the word. "Irregardless" is commonly used in error - the recommended word is "regardless." Let me use the word in a sentence example:

Regardless of what happens tonight, I predict the Gophers dropping in the next poll.

Not only are you not "write," you're wrong.

    Hahaha

  8. I've thought about this too. Five regular forwards for sure will be gone after this season (seniors Gaarder, MacMillan, O'Donnell, Parks, Pattyn), with a sixth (Caggiula) that could potentially leave in order to sign a free agent deal. We currently have just six committed forward recruits who would even be eligible to come in this fall (Yon, Gersich, Wilkie, Gardner, Bowen, & Cakebread), and I would say only two or three of those commits (Gersich, Wilkie, maybe Gardner) are ready to play at the NCAA level.

It will be interesting to see how this all plays out. Hopefully the potential to earn a lot of playing time helps to entice the likes of Boeser and Matthews.

I don't think Boeser and Matthews would be too worried about playing time. I don't see Matthews playing NCAA, but it would be nice.

  9. I would rather have Nick Schmaltz setting me up to help my draft status, but if he already has a friendship and chemistry with them, I certainly can see why he would choose that route.

I thought he was in the 2015 draft class?
