Bison #70 is a POS

That was one hell of a drive. This game is ours for the taking. Our D can make the stops...their D looks to be finished.
-
I'm putting this one mainly on Danny. He called a terrible game.

I'm perplexed as to when we go and don't go for 4th down. Wtf.

Horrendous clock management.

I was at the game and want to give a quick shout out to the Aggie fans. That was a fun atmosphere and they were very respectful.
I agree with Midwestern Hawk; Danny comes out with a smokin' game plan, then falls apart once the other team adjusts....if that's what they did. We completely abandoned what got us up 21-7 in the first quarter. Where was Quincy? He's so effective when he's in. We need to use him more than 2-3 plays per game. Our offense has the weapons. That's not in question.
The glaring concern is our defense. We gave up an enormous amount of yards and were out of position all night. I can't get over the angle our DB took on the TD they stacked the receivers. There were several plays of that nature.
Overall, we have a good team that could have easily flipped that score. We really beat ourselves. But I do have to give USU a lot of credit. They played exactly how I wish UND would....all out, as if every game is for the title. Their team energy was palpable.

Utah State brought in a pile of transfers, but they looked like cohesive offensive and defensive units against Washington St. Their high tempo offense has potential to give UND fits, but hopefully UND has the answer.
UND will have to play a solid game, but so will Utah State. I give them the home field edge, but I will be there to do my part in neutralizing it.

In other news...back to playoff discussion.
I’ve been looking forward to this matchup and hoping it would be in Frisco all year.
JMU is damn good, well coached and has incredibly talented players at every position group. NDSU will certainly have its hands full.
What concerns me about this game is some of the little things NDSU seems to have become slightly less disciplined with this year. As a fan, I need a larger sample size to determine if it’s the youth of our group or simply a more undisciplined version of NDSU under our new coaching staff, but the penalties and missed tackles that have become more common this year I think may bite us when playing a team as great as JMU.
Seems like a toss up on paper so I’ll pick an NDSU win in a surprisingly high scoring affair, relatively speaking. I’ll go with 31-27 NDSU, but I would be hard pressed to put a large sum of money on that one.
From what I've seen, JMU's defense looks every bit as good as NDSU's. I think they should be able to make Lance look like he's human. It will be a good game. Is the FCS Championship usually on ABC?

I am not blaming our defense at all for this loss... they held them to 17 points for most of the game and got us the turnover we needed toward the end...if you can't score 20 in the playoffs, you aren't going to win. Field goals and missed field goals aren't going to cut it.
I'm not blaming the defense for the loss either, but they gave up 316 rushing yards. That's absolutely unacceptable.

Bubba's post game hindsight is usually spot on....and repeatative. Next year will be more of the same unfortunately.
Bubba's not capable of making sound, real-time decisions. We've all known it for years. This is what we get with Bubba ball. I don't know how it works, but I wonder if Freund was even trying to push him to go for it? Every single one of us knew UND had to go for it, but Bubba.

I can't understand why they didn't stack the box against Nicholls. It was obvious early on what they wanted to do, and it was obvious we couldn't defend it with the original game plan. More of the same in the second half with no adjustments.
The announcer called it out a thousand times. We had our six vs. their seven the entire game. Wtf Schmidt.

Zero excuses for what happened today. I'm sorry, but once again, UND had everything in front of them and they laid a massive egg.
Its time. Its over. New blood. Its needed.
Bubba's post-game interview was a mess. He looks so intimidated by the questions. All I got from it was how good/explosive ISU is and how prepared we were. Does this coaching staff ever take some blame? Time to clean house.

Man, Ty Shannon's hit had me yelling and jumping around the living room. I loved his fire.

Schuster's whole performance was eye-popping if you ask me, given it was his first college action and the situation he was put in.

Yep, the NDSU game was one game on this schedule. UND lost an early season game on the road. Done thinking about it. Excited about Saturday! BEAT SAM!
GO FIGHTING HAWKS!
Agreed! I hope the team moves forward with ferocity and gives the 'kats an ass whoopin'. I hope they're determined to get another crack at those SOB's in Fargo. Let's go!
The fans treated me very well last year in Huntsville, so please be gracious hosts.

Didn't take to you long to park outside and come in, been stopping over every day? You got the last thread shut down, congratulations.
Pretty sure you contributed to that.

There is a lot of frustration across the board in the Northern Red River Valley right now. Glad you are enjoying it. But unless you have something useful to contribute, go back to Bisonville.
Pretty sure the point of this thread is for the "useless" info the Bison fans provide. I like them here and it's fun to talk sh!t to your most hated rival; though I admit I mostly just take it all in.

Even as a NDSU fan it was fun to read. I hate to see a couple people ruin the good fun.
Any chance it will ever be unlocked?
Yeah, not sure why they didn't just reel in the couple that ruined it. We need somewhere to get at each other, or threads like this will keep appearing.

I'll give you one more... Billy Brown is figuring this thing out. That's going to be huge going forward.
But Walter still isn't. He just doesn't cut it as a DI player.

And his play was just as dirty as his look. Every time I followed him, he was doing something egregious. I know it's complete bias, but the officials always seem to let SU get away with more than other teams. And then throw flags when their bench bitches.
