So you were proud of a DII championship.I use to keep up with football more in the D2 days when a couple guys from my hometown played and they both won national championships so I guess I did enjoy that yes but since the transition to D1 I haven't followed all that closely.

Minnesota football hasn't been relevant for 45 to 50 years. It's been a bottom feeder for most of that time.Going to mid level bowl games is much more prestigious than winning the FCS and its not close. Also, mid level bowl games are just scratching the surface of what the Gophers could do under Kill.
NDSU has already reached their ceiling, its gotten as good as it gets and its still meaningless college football that people dont watch. Have fun Bison fans.

Have you ever had Gameday?Probably would have been hard for the K-State game to have decent ratings on ESPN when the game was on Fox Sports 1 when it was brand new channel.

Gameday in Fargo was the 3rd highest rated show of the year. Have you ever had Gameday? I believe that's on ESPN. Our game with K-State had decent ratings on ESPN.You just made my point. The gophers bowl game which I agree is not an elite bowl was on EPSN while your National title game was on ESPN2. Even the biggest game for your level of football isn't as popular as lower tier bowl games.

Brock has not been over-rated by Bison fans. Most of us know that his odds of playing in the NFL are extremely slim. He was a great quarterback for the Bison. Yes, the defense and other aspects of the team were great. It doesn't take away Jensen's accomplishments in any way.

You just described Gopher football. Close against Wisconsin too. Gopher football, grasping defeat from the jaws of victory.I don't know about specific examples because I don't care about NDSU that much but I know he has thrown more than his fair share of pick 6's sometimes early in games to put the team behind right away and I really think he is an average QB and good leader with a real good supporting cast around him.
As for asking who the Gophers beat in other posts NDSU beat an average K-State team with a lot of different players from the previous season in the 1st game of the year. The Gophers Nebraska, @ Northwestern, and Penn State wins were all better than that and the Gophers were a few mistakes in the redzone away from pulling an upset at Michigan State.

Yeah, K-State kind of owned Michigan. How'd Minneota do against Michigan?Then you obviously didn't watch much Gopher football this year. I don't follow Moo U, so I couldn't tell you if Brock made mistakes or not, but the K-State team they beat was average at best and got better as the season went on.

Jensen made too many mistakes. Good one.Gophers probably would have beat NDSU by a couple scores because it would have been tough for NDSU to run the ball and Jensen doesn't win many games having to throw a lot. Jensen is like a worse version of Greg Mcleroy to me and has looked better because of the team around him and makes to many mistakes to be a NFL player. Leidner has a strong arm and has developed into a dual threat and will be a good QB for the Gophers. I think Molberg has potential and do know he had interest from those schools but also never got an offer although some would argue that Iowa only didn't offer because of his injury his SR season. Might be hard for Molberg to really see how much he has progressed because there very well may be less talent on this next Sioux team than last years.
