So UND doesn't have any big passing plays this season or last.  Talk about cherry picking you look at two 3 and outs in a half and acts like it's every drive not mention half of the 3 and outs this season are caused by a dropped pass and blown blocking assignment.  Not at coaches fault when a guy is put in the right spot but doesn't execute.  I am playing devils advocate here because I don't think most on the board are looking at the entire picture and if UND starts firing people I hope it is based upon everything not just a lynch mob mentality.  If a few coaches are let go at the end of the season I will not be surprised but I would like it done for valid errors or struggles that they could have fixed and didn't or wouldn't.

This has been a major problem this season, especially in the passing game. Some of our more sure-handed receivers dropped passes they should have caught. So at times there are good aggressive calls that go for nothing, including play action on the first play of drives!

  2. I think I have a working TV login, but I'm curious if the BTN Plus monthly subscription would work? It says programming available on BTN2Go works with it. Then it would be $10 for the weekend (for just the two UW games.) I'm not finding a ton of concrete info, though.

  3. I'm sure UND's staff would love having UW on the schedule, as do the fans. It gets tricky when trying to setup arrangements with new teams, but I bet something gets done. If not every year, every other year.

Another interesting tidbit from that article is that CC is the only other opponent (other than MN) that has generated more Kohl Center sellouts than UND since 98. CC... that must have been in the early/mid 2000s when they were competing at the top of the WCHA. Which indirectly means that the Kohl Center doesn't sell out very often these days. Color me surprised.

  4. If necessary, maybe, but having him on D gives opposing teams another dimension to plan against. He can either setup the forwards for success with good breakouts and following the play, or he can lead the rush. He's done well this year by picking his spots and maintaining solid defensive coverage. The few times he has been caught out of position, he's been able to skate his way back. Dare I say, moving him up to forward would make him easier to defend.

Plus, we supposedly have enough ice-worthy forwards to cover.

I guess I don't view Rudy as young or inexperienced, which to me makes things worse.  http://www.undsports.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=13500&ATCLID=209357073  23 years of collegiate coaching experience at the time of Bubba's hire.  I'd be on board with Freund, or even Chuck the Pigskin.

That's fair, I probably should've said "at the FCS level." But yes, his great offensive mind (as Bubba put it) isn't quite cutting it for this level of play. Too bad Chuck the Pigskin is only interested in head coaching opportunities.

  6. There were indications that Sheehy wasn't going to play the series. During the Friday pregame, they said that Lucia asked Sheehy how he felt. Sheehy said he wanted to play. He played both games. There's nothing suspicious about Lucia taking precautions with one of his most talented first-year players very early in the season. Maybe if he was an upperclassman that would be different.

Jones is the best center on the team.  How Ohio State let him go.....

I read somewhere that he didn't play Center at OSU. Not until Penticton...good move apparently!

Great performance this weekend. Gophers were actually better tonight than last, but our guys buried their chances. Awesome to see a doughnut for the vaunted UofM power play.

  8. It sounds like a double standard to me. People in the fb forum are calling out Tom and Brad for not asking tough questions. Here, they're saying the same guys are on a witch hunt asking bad questions. Reporters will ask as many questions as necessary to craft stories that solicit subscriptions/ads/clicks. When they get cryptic answers, they'll keep digging via open records request or outside sources.

Regardless of the circumstances, the timing of the athletic dept review was a bit suspect. Maybe Brian revealed his retirement a few months ago and they needed the review as part of succession planning. Either way, as others have said it's not a bad time to change ADs, nor is it a bad time for Brian to retire.

until i hear any of those three ask rudy or bubba...what the hell were you thinking starting brad....i'll keep waiting

Agreed, and I bet those guys will have to answer that a lot this week.

    exactly...miller nelson and schloss wont

Except Miller said on Twitter just today that the #2 and 3 best QBs on the roster are ineligible until next year (RS and transfer.)

But regarding depth currently eligible, I agree that it's bad. I'm sure that's why they brought in Z. You should know what you have in Brad before this point. He may have earned backup position in Fall camp, but this is real life now.

Holm started, but got hurt early and went out and was out the rest of the game.  Not sure of his status.  Hunt got hurt but came back.  Can't remember if there were others.

According to undfootball360 tweet, Bubba indicates it's likely season ending.

  12. There was a big lack of speed and intensity from our guys. StL could just sit back and pack it in, and did most of the night when they weren't obstructing. UND not moving feet and content to just reach with their sticks to get loose pucks. Need more jump tomorrow. As others have said, Cam looked great again. StL's goal was pretty fluky, but they had a few grade As thanks to bouncing pucks or sloppiness.

  13. I'd say he gets a game against SLU if he's ready. Otherwise, roll with who you have until CC. Probably take out Kierstad. Shaw and Wolanin split time their freshman year, despite both earning games. During the TH podcast, Berry said he thinks sooner, rather than later, Bast will get in...whatever that means. Definitely results will dictate people coming and going as well.

  14. As IHTINB said, the major difference between this team and 01-02 is experience. There were 10-12ish freshmen on that 01-02 team, and some major growing pains. Who could forget the carousel in net? This team has a proven goalie and solid defense. Scoring will have to be by committee, especially if Gersich gets hurt. But guys will take steps forward too.

Should be a fun season, like always!

  15. Big positive: D kept play in front of them for the most part. They allowed 0 huge (50+yd) plays. The were a lot of bad angles taken by the secondary, but mostly the team rallied around the football to avoid the long TDs.

The one turnover was a ball that should be caught by Mercur.

Overall, I'm excited to be in the Alerus next week!

Hi UTE fan here...  if you want to watch the PAC12 Network for the game.  It is quite easy to do so on any device you might have.

First - watch How to install Kodi 17.4 videos on YouTube and/or google -

2nd, To down load the version you need for your device, you can download any version of kodi you need at kodi.tv/download  Kodi is only a search engine for streaming video so you then need to add a "Addon" which is a program to search for the content you are looking for.  The AddOn that you want to then install is called BENNU.

3rd. "How to install Bennu" Do a search on both Google and YouTube to see the step by step on how to install.

4th,  After you have installed Bennu all you would need to do is open Bennu.  Go to BENNU LIVE then to RA  - OFFICIAL LIVE TV CHANNELS then open SPORTS then scroll down until you see the PAC-12 Mountain channel.

Kodi will allow you to view almost every movie and/or TV show that has been made.  You will love it.

Kodi itself is a great app, I use it for my personal movies and TV shows, as well as a home-built DVR for my antenna. HOWEVER, add-ons like BENNU are banned/illegal/bad juju. If something says you can watch cable or subscription TV without paying, it's not legit.
