It wasn't.  It was created to support the 3/5 compromise.  To give slave states more representation in the electoral college based on the 3/5 compromise.

Small states have equal representation in the US Senate.  And to this day do get a better share of the electoral votes,  but it came due to the 3/5 compromise.

Where the %$%^%^% did you get your "education"?

Common knowledge.  The south sought a compromise in representation.  They got it for the US House.  A direct election of the president would negate that compromise.  Thus, the electoral college was born.

    Basic civics.

    https://www.history.com/news/electoral-college-founding-fathers-constitutional-convention

"In 1787, roughly 40 percent of people living in the Southern states were black slaves, who couldn’t vote. James Madison from Virginia—where slaves accounted for 60 percent of the population—knew that either a direct presidential election, or one with electors divvied up according to free white residents only, wouldn’t fly in the South."

Those slaves, considered and  later codified as property by the Dred Scott decision, counted each as 3/5 a person towards representation in the US House of Representatives.  Even though they had no prayer of voting. And again were considered property.

So, those southern states would gain more representation in the US House. In turn, in order to tilt the scale toward the south again in presidential elections, the states were give two electoral votes for their US Senators and one electoral vote for each member of the US House of Representatives.

    its indisputable.

Unless you're really freaking stupid or insane.

    Them Democrats sure were/are racists.

    The list grows daily.

The cult will spin them as "Rinos" or any other excuse beyond the real reason.

Trump is crazy like his cult.

"Though Trump has largely seized control of the Republican party and the loyalty of GOP officials, a number of prominent former GOP officials, and even some of his ex-staffers, have come out in favor of former Vice President Joe Biden."

And the Dems continue their hate & violence. Biden voter commits murder.

I agree.  This batch of fanatics know that their voice is actually the minority as of now.

That is a fact.  Maybe not in their neck of the northern plains, but in our country.

Their views are in the minority also.

The majority of US Citizens favor some form of universal health care, abortion rights, gun restrictions, legalization of recreational marijuana, increased taxes on the upper class, increased spending to reduce or make free public post secondary education, higher teacher pay... I could go on.

Even if Trump wins, it won't be by popular vote.

Their gig is up.  You can't govern from the minority position for long in a democracy.  Otherwise, it won't be a democracy anymore.

That's your problem Soyboy. It aint a democracy, it's a republic. Representative government, not majority rule you moron.

Trump has done everything he can to push away minority votes.  If they come out in large numbers, he will lose. If he can suppress their vote, he might win.

He certainly won't attract their votes.

All the Latinos I work with are voting Trump. They are as disgusted by whats going on as anybody else.

Cross another speaker off the list.

Face facts, the RNC is the dumpster fire.

"On Tuesday evening, CNN reported that the Republican National Convention has abruptly removed Trump adviser and “Angel Mom” Mary Ann Mendoza from the night’s speaking lineup.

This comes after Mendoza posted her support from a thread written by a QAnon supporter positing a Jewish conspiracy to take over the world."

Why is Madcow & company outraged that Pompeo is speaking from Jerusalem?

"(CNN)His sister described him as a liar and fake. A former senior official at the Department of Homeland Security deemed him a woeful danger to the country. A prominent friend with a prime-time slot on Fox News has called him "crazy," according to new book about the network.

His onetime national security adviser wrote in his own book he cares little about human rights. A former Pentagon chief called him "the first president in my lifetime who does not try to unite the American people." Those sentiments were endorsed by a former chief of staff. A former secretary of state declared him "undisciplined."
Another onetime national security adviser called his attempts to solicit foreign assistance in the election unacceptable. A Homeland Security adviser has called some of his actions "deeply disturbing." A short-lived communications chief has questioned his mental state. A former aide and reality show contestant called him racist."

Speaking of real racists...they love Joe.
