I usually read but don't post because I can a Bison fan that has no tie to the UND/NDSU rivalry (I moved to the F/M area in '04). But for you to boast that UND will overtake NDSU as the better football school is rather foolish. Tell me how many REAL FBS wins does UND have under their belt? Does UND even have a winning percentage against FBS teams? How well has UND done against FCS teams (don't count Drake, they are a non-scholly team)? Do you even know that UND might get kicked out of the Big Sky if the ND legislature does not remove the law stating that UND can keep their nick-name? Anyways when in the last 5 years has UND out recruited NDSU in North Dakota. Last year the two biggest recruits (Carson Wentz and Andrew Okland) chose NDSU over UND. I know that the year before that UND tried recruiting Esley Thorton, and Thorton chose NDSU over UND. Mussman wishes he could be Craig Bohl. Biggest difference between the two teams (and their fans) is that NDSU expects to win against FBS schools, and UND is okay with any moral victory they can get. I also get a kick that you cling so dearly to UND's 1 D II National Championship, you must have forgotten that NDSU has 7 more of those than UND. But of course our championships are in the past, but last time I checked so was yours. Just so you are aware NDSU is not taking anything for granted, even when (or may be if) you get into the Big Sky, the Missouri Valley Conference is tougher because there is a higher amount of tough physical competition. Best of luck to UND, I still doubt that UND will leap frog NDSU, you'll need a FCS caliber coaching staff and FCS caliber players to do that.

I think one thing that will be a good building block for the Sioux is an answer at quarterback. Even though I am a Bison fan I'd casually see how the Sioux were doing this year, and heck you all did okay with Jake Landry and when he went down the season kinda went with it. If either Groska, Hendrickson, or one of your red-shirt freshmen can come in and do the job well, I think that the Sioux should look better than this year's 3-8 record. That's my 2 cents worth.

Seriously this is just plain stupid. I mean as a Bison fan I do see that NDSU and UND will play again at sometime in the future. However politicians need to STAY OUT of this. First off both NDSU's and UND's schedules will already be pretty full just with the conference schedule, and secondly both UND and NDSU will be scheduling a FBS school as one of the non conference games (because those games are HUGE pay-outs for both schools, and possibly a good way to gain more and better recruits). In the future the best way to settle this is to play every other year. But from what I have heard Faison is thinking that UND is so important to NDSU that this game has to be every year. While it would be interesting to play UND again, we really don't need UND (just like UND doesn't need NDSU). If UND can't accept playing NDSU every OTHER year then this game should not happen (remember UND COULD have kept the rivalry going but you did not move to DI when we did).

Sioux- What was UND's record last year? Oh yes it was 8-22, and considering that UND was playing a much softer schedule than NDSU I think that NDSU's 11-18 record is a bit better than your 8-22 record. Personally I think NDSU will win by as little as 10 points or as many as 30 points. We have recruited better basketball talent than you have and we are a program on the rise, you guys still look lost. I hope for fans it is a good game, but with the fact that NDSU just has a bit more talent than UND I don't think the game will be that close. Sorry to be realistic.
