  1. It is most likely that if Winona beats UMD this weekend that they will make the playoffs. Can anyone tell me how this could be? It is just a waste of a playoff spot. Winona is going to get smoked by whoever plays them in the playoffs.
  2. Hey Jim Dahl..........wake up....polls do matter. Thats the reason teams get in the playoffs and why some teams get shut out. The BCS involves polls, but I guess thats not going to prevent Northern Illinois from getting in, right?!! The fact is polls are all around us and they effect a teams fate. They will effect UND's fate as well as effecting Concordia's fate..........the thing is, the voters always side with Goliath and all people like us get to do is bitch about it because its never going to change. Small schools that have the ability to beat the big ones (i.e. Winona two years ago barely making the playoffs and then putting more points up on UND than that defense allowed all year) rarely get the chance to do so........
  3. What really boggles my mind is how Winona State is ranked so high in regards to CSP. I don't care if they have one more win, what does that mean? It seems like it should be simple math. Concordia beat Winona. Yes, it was in overtime, but Winona got lucky to even get to overtime. If you are telling me that Winona is the 3rd best team in the Midwest, then that means the Midwest is crap this year, and I know that it isn't. Concordia has one game left that they could lose: Duluth at Duluth. I was at the Winona-Concordia game and Winona is not a team that is going to beat many of the teams that are ranked in front of or behind them in the polls. I think what it really boils down to is the fact that the fellas over at D2football.com have a hard on for the Warriors..........
  4. Anyone out there still questioning whether or not Bowenkamp has what it takes???
  5. Logistically NDSU should win that game, but I will not be surprised at all if CSP beats them.....they have had a better luck on the road the last few years as well
  6. Fellas, the midwest Regional Poll might never look like this based on what conference each team is in and how that plays a factor, but this is my most accurate depiction of what it should look like........... 1. Pitt State-Powerhouse 2. North Dakota State-NDSU can ill afford to lose to UND for the second strait year 3. North Dakota-Can climb closer to the top with a win over NDSU 4. Concordia St. Paul-Very good team, running on all cylinders and is underated by everyone in the country, going to be very dangerous 5. St. Cloud State 6. Northern State-Out of the blue, lots of Juco's, very solid 7. Nebraska-Omaha 8. Emporia State 9. Central Missouri 10. Winona State-Much weaker than years past
  7. My bad on the stat screw-up......I was thinking that they had the Augie's this weekend. My point, however, stands.
  8. Let's not be too quick to jump on the Wilson bandwagon fellas...With Bowenkamp's experience on the road and playing against a team this week in which he absolutely torched last year, he is the man under center. Wilson played a great game and I congratulate him on that. But you have to stick with what is working and not experiment this late in the season. If Bow falters again, then we have a controversy, but until then, he is very competent of getting the job done.
