Maybe New York should try passing the puck. It seems to work for other teams.

Makes me wonder how UND survived the Kennedy era, and what her relationship is with Armacost.

What was Corey Perry doing?? He gave Boeser a look like he would take his head off while holding his stick with both hands directly at Boser's throat if Boeser moved. Great serial killer look on his face. Yikes.
-
Hopefully he is on a scholarship so I don't have to pay for his student loan for his Fantasyland Studies major.

Great game for Boeser, with a hatty, and Vancouver with a huge win.

Why not disclose what the NIL deals are? What's the difference between posting players salary in the NHL, NBA, etc and college players? Oh, must be because they are pros and the college kids are amat......or not. College athletes are now free agents (at least until the lawsuit is settled) and they get paid to play. Like it or not, and I don't, college athletes really aren't amateurs anymore.

Wasn't Gwoz fired for non-performance related reasons? I seem to remember it being a politically related firing.
IIRC he was due a large bonus ($1,000,000?) and the AD didn't want to pay it. At the time I thought DU letting Gwoz go was a terrible idea, but it seems to have worked out quite well. I guess there is a lesson there.

For as much crap as UMN fans like to poke at UND for hitting the portal for goalies, this has good comedic value.
They picked up Souliere from PSU out of the portal to join Airey as their goalie tandem.
That move pushed out Owen Bartoszkiewicz, who has now entered the portal as well.As a further twist to this....
Souliere is 25 years old already and will turn 26 years old during the 24/25 season.
And he is Canadian.That's hilarious!

I am not a fan of the portal, and I wish the NC$$ can change it so that players can't change teams at will. Having said that, I doubt any other team has been as successful as UND at bringing in the right players at the right time. Kudos to the coaching staff for that, especially this season. There wasn't anyone that came in from the portal that (at least to me) didn't buy in to the culture. And Stoney you were right on the money about Johannes.

Weird to look at the chart and know for sure all the seniors will be done. Like the good old days.

Can the players have agents now, or is the term used interchangably with advisor?

I see another 3 CC players have entered the portal. Two sophomores and a freshman who were either sparingly used or didn’t play at all.
For having a pretty successful year, CC is losing a lot of players. What's the story?

Agreed. This is changing college athletics...won't see many players being loyal to their team or earning their spot anymore.
Just go to a different team instead. It'll make you really start to appreciate the guys that stick around one team for their entire college career. But I guess this is our new reality, so teams need to embrace it if they plan on succeeding going forward.
Give him a setup man like Blake or Swanson and he could double his goal total.
Not necessarily, unless it was a part of one of the lawsuits the NC$$ lost. Can't they go back to making the players sit out a year? That would certainly stop a lot of the movement.

UND had a great season thanks to bringing in some good players from the portal. But I still don't like it. Free agency in college sports is wrong.

Please don't drink the B1G Kool-Aid. They were bound to get their act together at some point. But the NCHC is not going away, no matter what some people on here think. And eastern schools like BC, BU and Quinnipiac aren't going away either.
If the B1G made an offer to UND that made it worth our while financially, I would not oppose a move there. But until that day comes, I have no problem staying in the NCHC.
I'm not drinking the B1G kool-aid, that was more a reaction to Goon's post. There were a lot of people that expected the B1G to take over college hockey as soon as they were formed. They haven't but they have gotten better. And will continue to be good, as will BC, BU, etc. I'm very concerned that NIL (especially) and free agency will make it very hard for UND to keep up. The bigger cities and schools have a far bigger pool to draw money from and NIL hasn't really affected hockey much yet. And I don't see another Ralph Engelstad out there.

Sioux are the second best team on the ice this period. Completely lost the momentum.

Both Michigan goals off lucky bounces

I just noticed that the OT winning goal by MSU went off the WMU defenseman's stick.

let's play the third like the first!

Good win for the Oilers but playing not to lose before they are out of the locker room for the third period isn't always a good strategy.
