  1. Just a quick note on the bars around the arena if anyone needs advice. There are a few but they are on the smaller side and parking is limited. I usually party in downtown Denver and take the light rail to the arena if I don't have a ride so I can partake in an adult beverage or two. There is also a Dave and Busters one exit to the east on Colorado Blvd. It is a bar with a restaurant and a bunch of video games. There is always a few Sioux fans there and it is about 3 minutes from the arena. There is also the Alumni gathering if that is more your speed.

  2. I will be there. I stood in line at Magness arena way back in September to buy 8 tickets for both nights. Pretty stoked that I am getting to see the Sioux play in person on back to back series. Let's roll up George and the Gwozettes both nights boys. See ya'll Friday night. Sioux Ya Ya

  3. Saw this on Twitter...

Nice blog post written by a fan who attended the games - Pride + Tradition = Passion

So I read this blog and it sounded really familiar as to what my weekend was like in Omaha. I mean down to the last little details, then I read who wrote it and realized it was my sister who was with me in Omaha. Great post sis, it brought back all the good memories and butterflies from the weekend. Can't wait for the Denver series either. I feel like we live in GFK getting to see the Sioux play back to back series live in person. We will make it to the Ralph soon, I promise! Bring on Denver and Ya Sioux Sioux!!!!! and btw.....Kristoooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. Someone earlier said we need Hextall. I couldn't agree more. The Sioux have been to the NCAA's the past years and have had physically dominant teams. These physically dominant teams in the NCAA's have not doing well due to to the big hits being called much tighter, this then takes them out of the game they have played all season. Not disagreeing with protecting players, but I think it has changed Hak's recruiting. We don't have any bruisers on the team this year other than Big Mac and we don't have any young potential of becoming a bruiser. If you are going to replace physically dominant you better recruit the speed and goal scorers. We continuosly lose races to the puck and when we get to the puck first we get scrubbed off the puck by a more physical player. Our team this year appears to be afraid to hit. You can't be a finesse team when you don't have the high end skill. I have not seen Forbort or Schmaltz put a legitimate check on anyone this year. The 5'6" player shouldn't be the player on the ice throwing all the checks.I think it is an issue of recruiting and player potential. Stop looking at body type and draft status and start looking for kids who can play the game and have the want to play the game. Not some prima donna who the coaching staff is afraid to sit because he may leave and go to the pro'sI hope the Sioux can win tonight and take the last three games as a learning lesson and build on it for the rest of the year. If not it is going to be a long road ahead. And if we thought we were lucky to only lose Brock Nelson this year, wait until the end of a season where we don't make the NCAA's and see who leaves. All the "first round" talent the coaches would not sit will be the first to go

  5. Just looking at this from a Coloradoan's perspective. The Broncos won 11 in a row to end the regular season. They went into the playoffs on high and an underdog who wanted it more beat them. Now I am not comparing football to hockey but the underdog to should win. The Sioux have a lot going for them and if they can keep it going they are going to make some noise in the end. Something clicked last night in the second period and I hope they remember that feeling. We are only two points out of the top spot in the league with a lot of hockey left. Sioux YA YA. Sweep the Huskies right out of the Ralph!!!!

  6. Can someone explain to me how the Gophers can get away with Ski-u-Mah on the back of their helmets. Kind of a double standard in my opinion. So maybe the Sioux new nickname should be a Sioux word or phrase. If the Goofers can get away with it why can't the Sioux?

  7. I have for sale 2 tickets each night for this series. They are in the lower bowl of the World Arena in the Sioux attack zone twice.

Sec 110 both nights. Row J Friday night and Row E Saturday night. You will be in the same row as other Sioux Fans.

I am in Colorado and will be into Colorado Springs by 3pm Friday Afternoon. I can meet you in C Springs or mail them.

I paid $25 a piece for each ticket. I would like to sell both nights together and will do so for $90 for all 4 tickets. If you only want one night I will just sell them for what I paid for them $25 a piece.
